This is more of a personalized search feature than a "social" one. Quoting from the google blog - "The changes you make only affect your own searches".

Sure, it's a step in the right direction by google, but one can't still call it a full-fledged wikified search interface. one has to log in to their account to view the changes they have done to their own searches. To fully wikify google will be a much more complicated task, near-impossible, considering the fact that it will have to be made in a way that it can't be gamed.

See that is what I said, separate areas for smokers and rest of the world/restaurants/coffee shops etc for non-smokers already exist here. Where is the passive smoking in that? and if there is no passive smoking in such a situation (which it isn't) why the ban? to stop smokers for smoking? in that case, why not ban smoking altogether? or better yet, ban the smokers of the world!

Since the EEEPC is based on debian, you'll probably be able to simply install sudo apt-get install konqueror in the command line and install the KDE browser. I am not sure it's in the repositories though. Of course, you can access me.com using the user agent switcher plugin in firefox mentioned earlier in the post without having to install a whole new browser.

I am really as new to Gujarat as you guys are. I do however plan to find out more, and travel in my free time once I am there and blog about it, so we will all discover the state together. Should be fun!

I wouldn't say it's a "race", more like a linguistic group. There isn't such a thing as an aryan race.

We're into e-retail - selling stuff (gifts, fragrances, musical instruments, flowers, gadgets, etc) over the internet on websites like http://www.giftshoppingzone.com and http://www.instrumantra.com among some others targeting the US market mainly, although we're planning to start a store for selling fragrances to canada soon!

feddabonn, that's my point exactly. Being Anti Raj Thakrey or something else is one thing, but criticizing something or the other about maharashtra in every other post, just so maharashtrians will come and disagree, and others will disagree with the disagreeing lot. All of this turns into hate-filled dialog - not even a dialog, just plain bashing of two communities, rioting with words

- All of this just seems like a hidden strategy somehow to increase traffic on the blog.

yeah, the perceived recession could only be one of the many reasons for this. Just after posting this, I saw a couple of very large orders, so all doesn't seem so bad after all! :)

I din't say south Indian languages are not Indian. How absurd!

All I am saying is that these are not indic, meaning that these are
ancient languages but aren't branches or sub-branches of sanskrit and
it's prakrits or other indo-european languages. I know that tamil is THE
oldest language of India, but that doesn't make it Indic - mainly
because it's not sanskrit, nor is it derived from sanskrit or written in
a way that sanskrit is.

For the record, I am neither a speaker of Hindi nor of south Indian
languages. It's just the way google has classified these languages is
incorrect and I was pointing that out.

I could partly be the twitter effect. I used to blog 3-4 posts a day on finaltag, Now it's hardly one per week or less. If I have a thought, opinion or something to share, I post an "aside" (which is a feature for microposts with the theme I use) on the blog or simply send out a tweet.

maybe some affiliate bloggers have just become lazy, I know I have. :). Hopefully, as some of us start blogging less, there will be new affiliates starting new blogs and blogging fresh thoughts and ideas.

What I don't understand is that many networks, including CJ, call their affiliates, "publishers". something that they did a few years ago as an amendment to their Ts and Cs, A publisher, unlike an affiliate can be interpreted as an independent entity, and in this case, simply as carriers of advertising material. Is there such a law, that if a company advertises in an NY newspaper, that'd mean they have a presence in the state?

I wrote to disqus and they promptly deleted the community. It seems that's the only way to have your community removed at this time.
