Friends, family and clients are still speechless :-)

Re: Switching to all Apple Hardware

But Jamie, if I did get "Bold" (sorry, couldn't resist) and got an iPhone, and I am banging around NYC, Atlanta, Chicago, etc., and have no access to a wall outlet or car outlet to charge the device, and it goes dead around 2pm, as my Blackberry normally does, what do I do? Currently I carry an extra charged battery and swap it in.

Re: Powerfeedback by Scott - Liberty Mutual; surveys and customer appreciation

I do not necessarily disagree with you, however, I would ask you to consider this. When "their customer" already has tremendous experience, knowledge and street cred in their industry, and is initially only seeking a 10-15 minute opportunity to present capabilities and benefits by telephone. why wouldn't time be allocated to do so? Thinking of this another way Tim. If I owned a deli and you came in to every day for lunch, and then on one Saturday, you bring your son or daughter in and ask me to buy something (raffle tickets, scout cookies, etc.) from them, and I said no, how long would you still be my customer? It has always been the case, but now more than ever; "one hand washes another."

Re: Switching to all Apple Hardware

I have three thoughts. 1) My battery goes bad, I send it back to them, they charge me to repair/replace. Nice business model. 2) By not having a battery door on the iPhone, artistically and visually it is more pleasing from a designers prospective. 3) I hear of workarounds (solar chargers, external battery packs, etc.) for the iPhone for people thumping around NYC w/o a charger and can not access the battery for swap as with the Blackberry. Here too, a nice revenue stream for Apple, and/or others in the peripherals business.

Re: Switching to all Apple Hardware

Forgetting for a moment that iPhone does not work on Verizon's network, my beef is the inability to swap the battery. When I am bopping around NYC, I am changing out my battery by 2pm or so as there is no where for me to plug in and recharge during the day. I don't know why Apple would not let users replace their battery.

Re: Powerfeedback by Scott - College CRM tool

Thanks for the reply and information. Good points! Did you happen to see my "Freshmen" (http://powerfeedback.tumblr.com/post/50857880/f...) posting? This is an huge untapped area for colleges and universities and a big mistake on their part based on my observations as the parent of a freshmen and polling parents of Freshmen around the Country.

Re: James Siminoff

Oh, well, if a Professor at GWU, or most any other college cites "facts" we should all accept them as is, and believe them because we all know that 99% of the .edu types have an open mind when it comes to candidates from the Republican party for ANY office....NOT!!! Oh, and I am sure that no one could possibly develop, and publish a probability scenario that supports Senator Clinton's concerns regarding Mr. Obama and Senator Robert Kennedy made during the waning days of her campaign, also....NOT!!!

You feel that Sarah Palin is "VERY weak", I respectfully disagree and in fact feel that Mr. Obama is the lightweight in the race. That said, you have your opinion, and I have mine, which, of course is freedom of speech, a good thing.

Though this is your personal blog, you tie it in closely to your company. You can not expect people like me to spend their heard earned dollars supporting your offerings when you publish crap like this.

Re: James Siminoff

I was disgusted, though not surprised when I saw MSNBC run the related ad (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5imvTVA-Hl4kb...) to this post and article. I wonder what would have happened if a group ran an ad about the likelihood of Obama seeing the end of his term if he were elected. Actually, I don't wonder as I remember when Hillary raised this question and the outage that came from CBS, NBC, ABC, MSNBC, CNN, New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, etc., etc. and the huge back steps Ms. Clinton had to take. I am all for a discussion on the issues, but this is just low and nauseating.

Re: Powerfeedback by Scott - The next step in consumer research

No, but I will.

Re: Powerfeedback by Scott - Blackberry divorce

"Online Divorce Florida" has missed the entire point of my post. The last thing this country needs is to find any more ways to help people get divorced! With the divorce rate over 50%, if we need anything, we need people to teach people how to work through their issues and to stay together. And no, I don't mean a government program! It still amazes me that it is tougher in most states to get a drivers license than it is to get divorced!

Re: Testing the Blackberry Bold vs iPhone 3g

"3. The Blackberry has a task manager that wirelessly syncs with the tasks on MS Exchange server. The iphone doesnt."
----------
I find this especially of interest. We use a Blackberry Exchange Server and "tasks" are the only thing that doesn't sync. I am told it is because we use Mac's and that Exchange/OWA doesn't support this for Mac.

As for the iPhone, besides the fact that its on AT&T and we are die-hard Verizon Wireless users, not having the ability to swap out the battery is a deal-breaker. When I am on foot in a city, not in a car or near a wall outlet, I am swapping my battery out by 2pm at the very latest.

Re: http://powerfeedback.tumblr.com/post/45976803

This is very interesting Bill, thanks for sharing. I did go to their website, but I could not view it fully ("Internet Explorer 6 or 7 is required for proper installation of the ActiveX control necessary to use all website features.) as I use a Mac and there is no current version of MSIE for Mac. As great as this product looks, I wonder if ALL parking authorities recognize and work with it?

Re: James Siminoff - Saw this coming...

Isn't this the foundation of firms like swapalease.com?

Re: James Siminoff

Congratulations! You have now been presented with the most important title in your life; "Dad". Will Oliver be a future President? Will he someday cure cancer? Will he be a teacher that is a catalyst for a student to do great things?

You are guiding the ship my friend. Welcome to the brotherhood, and congratulations again!
