Disqus has some challenges (with Facebook making it easier to connect etc.) but continues to engage the user community directy and add features not to mention exceptional uptime. Still calling a 'win' here. We'll see. Thanks, Charlie

Re: Google Friend Connect and MyBlogLog are back

Looking forward to the new additions Dror

Re: ReadyBoost in Windows 7 - It Rocks

Gratifying to know I'll never have to hire a proofreader .... In all honesty I have been mostly offline the past few days (as evidenced by the 'lack of blogging' :) but I did take a quick look just not and don't see anything new (yet) on the Disqus blog or the Disqus facebook page. Thanks for dropping by! ... I still feel that Disqus provides more versatility (and pretty good spam filtering) as compared with the recent implementations on large blogs of say Facebook Connect and / or Twitter. Thanks for stopping by!

Re: Google Blog Search in Real Time (or close)

Louis - Apparently the gadget is getting some good visibility. Noticed one item earlier that was there first, then got picked up by 5 or 6 sites ... then went to TechMeMe. For now, another cool discovery tool for sure.

Re: Google : We're looking at you Microsoft

Jim - I'm dual-booting Windows 7 and XP3 throughout the network with IE, Firefox and Chrome onboard (both). Firefox generally is default. Chrome is factually faster and sometimes even easier to access with Google apps. Sas - Good point but Zoho has a lot of work to do to break out of the tech sector. They have some 'real' users but are a long way from becoming a household word.

Re: Firefox 3.5 likely for this week

Interesting comment but I'd say doubtful. Suggest setting up an account and trying it. I forward almost all of my e-mail (and Google phone messages!) to Gmail at this stage. Try some of the features under the 'labs' tab. You should be able to do some nice customization. Integrated GChat, now with video, also extremely useful.

Re: Firefox 3.5 likely for this week

I'm going to wager a guess you're using a Mac? Similar response. BIG counter offer. Stockholders and investors really should be aware that the subscriber count has to be skewed by these 'giveaways'. On the other hand, they probably don't have much choice as instead of continuing to support the 'aftermarket', they chose to rely entirely on new car installs before and during the merger.

Re: Did Facebook strike a deal with Bing?

Brandon - Honestly not sure if this is a good thing. As for me, the new Adwords console (which I've been toggling with the old once since launched) offers some easy shortcuts but leaves out some of the tweeking features of the old one. As far as Webmaster Tools (formerly Webmaster Central), I usually embrace change pretty quick but I hope the new look isn't the final one.

Re: http://blog.louisgray.com/2009/05/personal-heresy-what-os-you-use-is-no.html

Agree Steven - Have be messing with the Live set too. Techie stuff: From Start -> accessories -> Resource Monitor (New GUI is nice). Keep this brief ... Go the the control panel and click around. Each one with take you to 3 or 4 more. Display tweaks are excellent.
