They're pushing the app specifically for marketing/revenue reasons (advertising, etc.). I hate Xbox customer service

It is, but here's what's all involved...dusting off xbox, finding my old cords, hooking it all up to my entertainment center, recovering my Gamertag account to that machine (which in itself is a long process), then getting three other players to be ready to play at that time before I'd need to recover my Gamertag back to my 360 to play any 360 games.

If all it was was hooking up the Xbox 1, that'd be easy. But I'd have to the account recovery back and forth between machines for one specific play session that I have to coordinate with three others. That pretty much kills it for me. :)

Re: Dan Sock...found!

I have no idea, but I know 8-4 (the company) was involved in the translation. Check back Feb. 14! But I don't think it's a normal video podcast. The video will be featured within a new iPhone/iPod Touch app that GCHD is designing....so I think you have to look for that rather than subscribing to a podcast.

Re: Sore Thumbs

Email interviews: Great for transcribing, great for keeping it short and more concise. But as an interviewer, I hate doing them because you don't get the real reactions of the interviewee. They have a chance to think about what they're going to write before they hit "Send," and you can't go back and forth with them as much to have a more conversational tone. You can't dig into anything in email like you can in person or over the phone. All my best interviews are done verbally...but they're a bitch to transcribe or edit down...especially if the people tend to repeat themselves like me!
