This was confirmed to me by the Midwest City store when they told me that we have a November 12th scheduled date. I did not have the patience to wait until 3G was turned on so I went with the Blackberry 8900 back in May. To be quite honest, the EDGE has not been that bad on my phone. I have even been able to stream audio from radio stations on my phone. I have been able to watch Youtube videos too. When I am at home, I use the Wifi for UMA calling. I have read a lot about the Mytouch phone. I hear it is an Android phone and it sounds cool. I am curious how your experience has been. I would not worry too much about the 3G service because we are only one month away. Also if you read tmonews.com, they are going to switch on the HSPA+ soon and it will be way faster than AT&T's 3G service.

Thanks for the post.

Re: How Microsoft Office 10 will be locked out of my toolbag

As we have seen this past week with the Sidekick, the web based documents cannot be depended on and I would never use it as my only source of storage.

Re: How Microsoft Office 10 will be locked out of my toolbag

You can leave it out of your tool box if you want but that will not stop businesses from using it. At work, we have no choice but to use is Office... currently 2007. Secondly this using the term 'geek' as though it is some sort of an 'a' list of prestige is over rated. A problem is a problem. That is like a guy getting hit by a car telling a person that smashed their finger with a hammer that it does not hurt. You may say that relative to other places it is not as bad but to say their is no problem is ridiculous.

Secondly Oklahoma does have its own identity. I too have lived in other places around the country and I longed to come home. I love my home just as you love yours. For that reason, I DO find it a problem when someone is coming around here and destroying others property with graffiti. Any crime is too much crime so please do not say we do not have a problem. After thinking of your post, I felt it needed a response.

Thank you,
Paul

Re: Jimmy Carter, Democrats and Racism

Oh, I forgot to answer your first point on this post. I apologize for not allowing you to respond. I did not realize that it would prevent you from responding. If I truly wanted to prevent you from responding I could have deleted your comment on my blog before it showed up. Again, I truly do not wish you any hard feelings. My intent was to avoid getting angry by having posts come to my phone that I HAD to respond to. I just wish we had someone to vote for. All we had was John McCain and he was CERTAINLY not representative of conservatives.

Re: Jimmy Carter, Democrats and Racism

I did not remove you because I was offended. As I said, I did not want this to become an issue to become offended on either side because I do consider you a friend. Secondly, apparently you did not read my response because I told you that I not a Republican. Just as you said, George W. Bush was not a representative of my desires. Somewhere in all that, you must have missed that point. I was just saying that I would like a little equal handedness when pointing out the news bias. Just as you think that I am sold out o the Republicans, it is hard for me not to think the same about you and the Democrats when you are still putting down the Republicans and conservatives and not addressing the outrageous behavior of the Democrats. Again, all I ask is some equal blame here because George W. Bush is not conservative. He and his father were both big spenders and not my role model for conservatism. As far as the protesters, I would like to see some even handedness in your analysis there as well. There are kooks in every crowd and you can point out the crazies and say that is representative of the whole movement but that would be unfair. I could just as easy say those that were claiming that George W. Bush orchestrated the September 11th, 2001 attack were representative of the entire liberal movement but that would equally be unfair. If you read my earlier posts you would see that where I was coming from was pointing out your highlighting Fox News while ignoring the other news outlets. Let's just agree that news outlets on both sides are misrepresenting the facts and I will be happy. The fact that you mention Fox News, Clear Channel in three consecutive posts while not adding a disclaimer that the left is doing similar things made me decide that I should end this and remove you from my friends list before I got ticked off and said something that I would regret. I can accept that you find George W. Bush offensive as do I. As far as I am concerned he wasted eight years and destroyed our movement that I thought was lost forever. Now that we can see that Obama is spending us into financial ruin, people are beginning to wake up and maybe not all is lost after all. Let's just hope that when the Republican land slide of 2010 exceeds the one of 1994, we will have candidates with some back bone. I was instrumental in the 1994 event just to find that the Republican leadership was spineless and cowered to the media. The way I see it, the media is going to accuse them of being murderers anyway so you might was well do something. The Republicans have not figured out that the media is going to criticize them anyway so they just as well go through with their plans. I am tired of getting lip service from Republicans and then having them stab us in the back. At least with Democrats, you know you have the enemy. Well Ed, I have rambled on long enough so I will let this go. Like I said before, it is pretty clear that we are on completely different ends of the political spectrum. Again, my post was not meant to be an attack but rather to point out that BOTH BOTH BOTH sides are doing it, not just the conservative side as you reminded me on several occasions.

Re: Update September 9, 2009

I appreciate your concern but that house is a rent house meaning people come and go. Those people will likely not even be there by the time we move. The dog is not the only reason I want to move but it gets on my nerves mostly because I know I am leaving. Have you ever had a job that you hated but you put up with it quietly? Then another job comes along and you know there is a way out so you start to voice you concerns now that yo can leave. If those people were there to stay, I may consider what you are saying but that is not likely the case. In the ten years I have lived in this house, there have been at least five different tenants in that house. The way I see it, anyone that comes to look at a house will likely walk around in the yard as well. If the dog is still here then he will bark at them and they will see and hear it.

Secondly I find your post a little disingenuous as you mention that you went through the same thing and then begin to lecture me on my integrity. This is obvious that you are only here as a troll to start trouble when you come in here and speak to me as another victim and then preach to me about my responsibilities. I reject that out of hand. I would not intentionally do anyone wrong just to make a sale but I will not sign a disclosure for my troublesome neighbor. Why don't you preach about the dog owner's responsibilities? For this reason I do not see your post as a legitimate discussion. If you were trying to be sincere, it is suspect simply because of the way you started off as being a fellow victim and then not once mentioning their responsibilities but rather mine. That is analogous to preaching to a rape victim about their responsibilities for being a victim.

I will say it again, I would never intentionally deceive a potential buyer. If that dog is still there when a buyer comes to see the house, they will see it then and nothing will be hidden. Now if I were to have a structure problem and I knew about it and did not tell them, you may have a point. Again, I appreciate your concern if you were genuinely meaning it but you must admit that it does sound a bit suspicious the way you pointed it out to me.

Re: Protected: Oklahoma City Gangs

You may have a point there Bill.

Re: T-Mobile’s 3G

That would be great news Wally. Sunday went to meet with him last night. One of the adults that was in the VFW/Bar tipped him off and so he called Sunday to find out what she was doing there. He told her that he was not going to play if she was there. She finally convinced him that we were not tryint to trick him and that we do not want him home until he WANTS to be home though we have to keep a runaway reporrt until for our own protection. I think she made a breakthrough. He is still not ready to talk to me yet and that is okay. Our goal is to maintain a relationship down the road. Anyway, I hope this helps.

Re: Guess What Season it Is

You can get it as a ring tone here... http://newsok.com/bcclark/ringtone

Re: Restrictions at Work

Thanks for the post Michael. Port 80! Ouch! That is amazing that they would go to that extreme but it does not surprise me. This is why I want to get a smart phone that has dependable Internet. I cannot access Twitter, Facebook, Twitter, Friendfeed, or any other social networking site. I just stumbled on a story on wired.com telling how the Air Force Network Operations Center has instituted a policy of blocking ALL URL's that contain the word "blog" in them. They admit that The New York Times is supposed to be reputable and you can go to those sites for information. No mention of the lack of objective reporting at the New York Times. http://blog.wired.com/defense/2008/02/air-force...

Yesterday we received two emails telling us we could not use the thumb drives. A third one quoted a regulation that said we can use them as long as we run the virus scan. This morning we had the above message on the screen with two more emails repealing the last email. It said we are not to use ANY removable media under any circumstances whether it is personally owned, or DOD issued. They said there will be no waivers issued. I was thinking "HOLY COW!". My whole office has been in an uproar over it all day. Although I do understand their concerns, surely there are more suitable ways to deal with these problems.
