No idea about Sat, but I've had luck with Wireless services elsewhere. I'd not rule them out as there seem to be a few options in OK.

3. None that stand out regarding traffic, but you can't buy beer on Sundays or holidays or cold if you want it over 3.2.

4. LOL, no.

5. Assuming Tulsa-area is similar to OKC then your best bet is Best Buy. :(

Re: Not Yet Begun Thusly

I'll fix that.

Re: Questions about living in Oklahoma

#1 Monthly, unless you have dogs and a dirt road.
#2 Yah, got me
#3 Ants and mosquitoes; spray and avoidance.

Re: More Questions about living in Oklahoma

#6 yes, maybe, yes, yes, not likely, canned, when there a perfectly good cows for the grinding?

You're not likely to find a carneciaria (sp) in Tulsa, but maybe.

Re: Social Life in Oklahoma

#3 More likely to assume you have a 'church home'; If they don't just tell them you do and move along.

Sadly, I'm useless for the rest.

Re: Just 307

5 pink; 5 blue
5 pink; 5 silver
10 blue
Mine just got trimmed

Re: Introducing Jasper at 1000 Days

Glad you stopped by David. I'm always fond of kudos like this--more so from the person who's work inspired me in the first place.

Normally I try to capture the action and emotion of a piece of art. You illustrators can make it tough to translate a scene literally. I enjoyed figuring out how to write this one so close to the original.

Jasper is a character I'll be returning to in the future. Soon I hope. The good ones I like to let simmer a little after I first get them out there. I'll shoot you a note when I do.

If I can offer any reverse inspiration you'd most likely find it under one of these tags: pilgrim, solex, wasp, or maquette. The first three are the different thread of 'shanty' the last are overt character sketches.

Again thanks,
Douglas

Re: How to Kill a Honga Rider

"None of the above is new"

A good portion of that is copy and pasted to avoid you having to look around for it to define my context.

Re: In Less Than a Day’s Time

I'll probably play around with this one a bit. I underestimated a bit there. They scale more like deer for a ratio than chickens.

As for the trees I realize that plenty of trees exceed 30 feet. But plenty of bushes and shrubs exceed my height as well. I wouldn't call them majestic or worthy of awe. Which is more what I was going for. As a human, I look at a 30 footer from well below the lowest branches and think, "That's a thing!" An 8 foot bush in my back yard or in my trail with branches starting at my knees makes me think, "That's a thing in my way!" instead.

These giants would dig the Pacific NW.

Re: Unpromtped

@fred I like thinking constructively too. However, you're falling into the same trap I do everyday. Writing about not writing is still writing. Even when I not-write write I still pause to punch up the verbs. I still think may way around my passive voice. I still double check my commas.

It's not interesting content, but I try to make it correctly not interesting.

Let's see how this week goes. And thanks.
