I think Rutgers thinks more of themselves than anyone else does really, but that's good for them. I respect their taking a stand to defend their program.

It is hard to argue the Syracuse game though as it was scheduled back when the Orange were decent. A home and home with Alabama starts up next year though, so that should be fun.

But Eastern Illinois? Akron? These teams hardly get me fired up.

How can you possibly vote Kruk ahead of Dykstra though? Dykstra was the leading man on the '93 squad and should have been the NL MVP that season.

I can't justify Hayes being voted for based on what he was supposed to be and what he ended up being in a Phillies uniform.

I think Daulton though could run away with the honor this year.

I feel the same way about the proposed rules for this year and agree that the celebration rule is a little extreme, but that one is two years away from even being a possibility. I bet I know how Paterno would feel about it.

Well, if Temple is going to beat Penn State thay may have to put together more than a couple touchdowns, in addition to stopping the Lions from scoring. Temple is on the rise though. I am hoping they have a breakthrough season in 2009.

I think that is interesting too. Was it normal for the home team, or the Eagles to wear white at home? You would think especially with the snow that the Eagles would wear green. Maybe I should contact the guy who does that Uniwatch blog about it.

I just heard about this on the radio on my way home and thought "I gotta see what JB says". From an outsider perspective (Phillies fan) I think it is a good move for the Braves, adding another arm to the rotation, but I wonder about the cost. I was surprised when I heard the money involved but was happy to not see him in a Mets uniform.
