The mail is in mime-multipart. If clients want to process the html, they can. If they want to use the text version (attached to the same mail) they can.

Can I ask why "Gothic" or "Industrial" never seems to make the cut? Or does that just get lumped in with "Electronic" and "Avant/Experimental" ?

Leo has cut out some of the discussion I had with him here, but, basically, an admin tool was abused allowing a rogue user to modify some accounts on Twitter. As described in our status blog at status.twitter.com, we have modified our site to restrict admin privileges to appropriate users and to prevent the abuse that allowed this attack to occur.

Please understand that our staff is on the job and we will do all we can to protect our users, and have dedicated a team of engineers to this issue.

It's funny that you say that ... a few minutes after this, news feed items were flying by. Can you really pay attention to a million news stories moving by rapid fire? While it looks cool, it doesn't seem very useful. It's the same problem with following thousands of people on Twitter ... it just doesn't work

I guess in a way the video demonstrates why Twitter is still more fun. The update rate is extremely slow and that's not software related; it's simply because people are not as chatty on Facebook as they are on a dedicated service like Twitter.

If an app or API comes out and is regularly used, we might see more use (Adium now supports Facebook chat, for example), but what I get now out of Adium's facebook chat are the same 20-30 status messages over and over again.

Then again, I'm biased. I work there.

While I enjoy evernote's features, I don't like the idea of storing my data on someone else's servers. I work in Operations and Security, and have many things which really shouldn't ever leave an encrypted file on my machine.

MacJournal handles that, and the autoencrypt feature really helps out with keeping my data secure.
