I wish him the same luck I do for any other Duke commit. None at all. Losing him to Coach K nauseates me.

Lets not cry in our beer fella's (has anyone noticed their aren't many females on this blog. Just an observation).

What can we do? The dude doesn't want us, so we don't want him. Have a good life.

If this guy commits, how would Rivers and Hulls feel? Everyone that has committed in the last two years deserve our complete DEVOTION. Anyone that doesn't can't be blamed. We are rebuilding. It's a tough pill to swallow. But we just-aren't-there-yet.......

Don't know if anyone else saw this, but Angel Garcia, former target for IU who went to Memphis, tore his ACL and will be out the whole season. He missed last year due to eligibility issues. Feel bad for the kid but it's interesting how things worked out

#1 was not even a foul. An offensive player is allowed enough space to make strong movements with the ball, and he barely touched the guy. #2, I'm still undecided. I didn't have any sound, so I couldn't hear what espn was saying. I think that's a good thing, honestly. At first I thought it was definitely accidental, like he was falling. I still think that's possible. #3 was legitimate, and I agree with the ejection. HOWEVER, I still have my doubts on #2. Simply seeing #3 doesn't mean #2 was intentional. He could have been getting crap from MSU all game about it, and wanted to just throw a real one out of frustration. Who knows. But Dumes does always play with a chip on his shoulder, which I like. It gives him an edge. He needs to control himself better, but I don't think he's a dirty player some make him out to be. Like I said, I didn't hear the commentary, but ESPN has made a big deal about many elbow stories recently, and not all of them have panned out. If I had to guess, I'd say Dumes gets a 1 game suspension, just because it was on national television vs the Big 10's favorite bball child, MSU. He might deserve the suspension, he might not. I just hope he comes out firing in the next game he plays

I went to the Bloomington South - Columbus North game tonight and thought this kid was amazing. It was a blow out, South scored almost as much in the 1st quarter as Cbus did the entire game, so Hulls didn't really do much after the first quarter. Darwin Davis played almost the rest of the game, and wow can he handle the ball. He had some great drives. I got the idea that not only was South good, but Cbus North was just plain bad, so maybe what I saw wasn't a very fair comparison. But I will say that I would LOVE to have this kid come to IU. Very exciting, very smart with the ball, and pretty athletic. Just needs to put a few pounds on and grow 3 or 4 inches. Hey, he's only 16, I don't think that's out of the question at all.

I don't think your home court advantage argument is holding any weight this year. Look at teams like Michigan State and Indiana, they are not having a tough time losing at home.

from what I can see in this short clip, that was def a bad call. he had position and everything, then somehow ended up behind and on the ground. bad move running out on the court? sure. worse move running back out onto the court? definitely. was he right? yes. here's my question: what happens when you are a ref and you make a call like that? we'll hear about the fine, suspension, or whatever it is that happens (and should happen) to knight, but will we hear anything official about a bad call or a game filled with bad calls? no, never, unless it's ed hochuli and SD. I'd just like to say I think this is a major problem, at least in the big 10. just look at the record of the home teams over the last 5 years. it should be hard to win on the road in a conference like the big 10, but not impossible. we have pretty much the same refs we did in the early 90s, and they aren't getting younger. they're slowing down, mentally and physically. they are never in position to make the correct calls. they just can't keep up with the game. but any criticism of them is looked down upon. if no one makes an honest complaint, change will never happen.

I understood that these were balcony tickets but nothing in the letter sent to me indicated that these were student tickets (let alone student tickets they could not sell). I've always known that the balcony was primarily student seating but was not aware that it was 100% student seating (and 99% vertigo inducing).
The uncertainty should have really been thought through, especially if you are going to ask people to put down over a $500 a ticket for balcony seats for a team that tries hard but does not win much. The irksome part is that even if you took them up on the offer and bought the balcony seats, you were not guaranteed a spot in the ticket wait list for season tickets (which should not be impacted by student ticket availability). They were not able to tell me at the time that I would get any sort of Varsity Club points for purchasing balcony seats.

i would agree that some programs across the country are still selling out, but there are some that are not. purdue is not sold out for all games, and they are expected to be at the top of the conference. uconn did not sell out before the season started, and i am unsure if they have sold out every game at this point either. and to be fair - the louisville-pittsburg game might not be the greatest example due to pitt being ranked so high. i think that the economy definitly has something to do with ticket sales. so does the teams talent level and play to this point. but i would say that had this team played in last years economy, there would be more seats sold. maybe it wouldn't be sold out, but it would be better than the situation we are in now.

i love the $5 deal. the crowd looked better than it has all year from what i'm told (i missed my first game in 4 years due to work... not too happy about that).

the reason you don't get credit is the tickets they are asking you to buy are student tickets, and they still are unsure of how they will handle these tickets in the future. they can't offer you any tickets in the future if they end up going back to the students, because they simply won't be available.

I agree about Williams. He hit some big shots. He had a wild one toward the end, but overall, he had some huge plays for the Hoosiers.

How about Nick Williams for The Good. Player of the game, hands down. Had he not gotten into foul trouble, I really think we win this game. He had some great rebounds, sunk some 3s, and really had some decent drives. If he keeps improving like he has been, he's going to be very good by the end of his career

Curry didn't score a point vs Loyola Maryland. I heard the were double and triple teaming him all game though, and Davidson still won since they were playing 4 on 3 essentially.

I really want the Pacers to somehow get him. We may not need a guard, but that kid is too good to pass on

I saw Coach Crean doing it, but I guess I hadn't noticed the rest of the team. This was my first game back on the court since the first exhibition game, and they didn't do it then. But it's a really good tradition--Dumes sweat and all.
