Yup I'm out there hehe. I think you're right about blogging - we can all unload what we want and we can pick and choose which thoughts others write down that we want to comment on. In real life I listen to a lot of people going on about their lives, and I really hate it when some of them completely glaze over the minute you have one small thing to say about yourself. But I always learn things about people, and it at least gives me a model of what I don't want to be like. Btw I think your blog is inspiring, and it's always good to have a positive message even though you are unloading :)

Very interesting. I completely agree, and your angle is very convincing. This really doesn't affect most people, you're right, so they really should stop going out of their way. We have gay marriage in the Uk, but only recently. I'm not gay nor do I know much about marriage... but everyone should have the choice.

Very true. It is so easy to sit there and complain, judge others etc etc etc. I realise that (I think I'm a bit of a complainer), but I'm learning to be more positive. It really helps me feel better about myself too, really.

It is so unfortunate that people are still stuck in very old ways of thinking. I would like to think that in 2008, people would get past the ignorance, but I guess there will always be those who will not accept someone who is different.

I don't know much about the US election, but have seen quite a lot about it on blogs etc. It is frightening what you are talking about. In the UK too people complain about others being 'different' or terrorists etc. (though this is focused mainly on immigrant communities, even when many of them are now 2nd or 3rd generation immigrants) when you are right that both countries are based on immigration or a so called 'mixing pot', where in America everyone had their right to the American Dream, but this just seems to be some kind of backward looking ideal and people in reality are quick to call people 'different' whenever it suits them.

I understand what you mean, it is hard to know where to draw the line between a secret or simply something private or personal. I always worry what people think way too much, even though my blog is anonymous. I guess a lot is left up to the imagination and that is usually a good thing, encouraging discussion. Even if you hide things, it doesn't necessarily mean you aren't being honest in what you write either.
