I watched the beginning of this program or the program that preceded it and provided some interesting facts about the U.S. prison system, its privatization and its growth based on its observance of 3rd and 4th grade reading levels in the U.S.

Thought provoking analysis - I guess we're too busy preparing for war and fighting wars - even wars of the domestic kind (opposition to Obama) to take time to take care of the country that is claimed to be so loved. It is just crazy.

Please do get started. The information needs to get out. I know how the donut hole works, as I said, my mother is in one. What I didn't know was that the President and his administration gave the the Pharmaceutical companies a pass and continue to allow them to hold health and well-being for ransom for so many elderly and innocent children.

Because of my mother and my grandson with the seizure disorder, the issue is very close to what matters most to me. But as you know, I've been on another planet for the last few months. I'll count on you to keep me informed. Please calm your anger (for your on well-being) and hit me with the straight facts on what's going on.

I'm not that surprised, I knew we were in trouble way back when he told blacks (a specific group) that we need to be more accountable and told another group that they were doing a wonderful job in their communities; that was just no right on so many levels I argued that point ferociously (sp) right here on JJP.

Rikyrah tell me more about Big Pharma Medicare D and the "donut hole". My mother is in one (a donut hole) right now and she cannot afford the $300 for medications for Alzheimers after she pays $400 for the life and sight-sustaining meds so I'm really interested in the reference you made.

He didn't take back his comments, but he did cater to those who thought he was wrong for saying it. It made him appear weak to me.

This statement is so true. Buchanan has made hideous racist comments that they don't even bat an eye at. The is to put the President in his place, and, unfortunately, he went.

It is odd to me that the media pounced on first Mr. Gates and then the president but totally ignored the story posted on CNN about the state trooper who was suspended for five days for his treatment of an EMT who he pulled over while en route with a patient to a hospital. There is a picture with the troopers hands wrapped around the EMT's throat. The EMT is a black man.

If you listen to the video you can hear the trooper cussing at the man and talking to him in a manner and tones that sound like he's talking to a slave.

The president should not have walked this back to the degree that he did because he left the media and his critics feeling as though they were right and that racial profiling, discrimination, disrespect and degradation imposed on minorities by the police is just a figment of their imaginations. The critics know these things happen, they have just said we know, but we don't care and you are not going to discuss it.

The President was punk'd.

The good man is the EMT who must perform his job helping to save lives while suffering through abuse and discrimination of a state trooper. I would like to hear the media and the President discuss this.
