Pretty cool.... Maybe I'll write about using Dropbox to host your own website one of these days.

For most of my uses, Evernote is a little bit of overkill. That, and the internet at my work is pretty horrible; imagine a 1 mbps connection shared among all of the faculty and staff.... (Strangely, Dropbox has much better luck connecting and synchronizing at my work computer than Evernote does.) Also, in general, I really like the uncluttered interface of CintaNotes and its speed and efficiency for keeping text "snippets" (for example, any HTML or CSS code that I want to remember for using later).

Re: CintaNotes and TiddlyWiki and Dropbox Fun

Afterthought #5: I assume that you could do a similar thing with your OneNote notebooks since those are nice compact single files. However, as a reminder, part of the reason for this is to get away from Microsoft Office.

Re: Reality Control? – Children of Terra

John sent an email mentioning that "Dan was the guitar player, forgot his last name though. Jason Fuentes was on drums, Shey Makenzie was on vocals. I forget who played bass as he was just filling in."

This means that I forgot to include a few people on my (very old) Santa Barbara/Goleta hardcore family tree (http://mrdwab.com/images/sb-goleta-hardcore-ful...).

Re: Nested Lists and CSS

Update: This can be used either on a CSS class or a CSS ID. For example, when I updated the theme on this site, the main post area had changed from an ID called "content" to a class called "post-bodycopy." Because of this, I had to change the "#content" in the CSS to ".post-bodycopy" to get the same effect.

Re: John Bender - I Don’t Remember Now

Viandy,

Thanks for the comment. I agree that for me, having an MP3 isn't nearly the same as having an actual product in hand, and with the current prices for these recordings, getting those copies can really cost you an arm and a leg!

Re: Song Sketches: Coloring Outside the Lines

OK Christy,

Hope you enjoy it, but I know it's not quite your "style" of music....

Re: You Want to Rock?

No problem. The Profax songs on the Give Me Back comp was really what got me interested in them, and it's still my favorite Profax stuff. The first EP is fine, but I find it a bit too "typical" hardcore, unlike the funky minimal sound of the Give Me Back songs and the second EP.

Re: More Core… Vinyl Retentive, Share Common Ground, Up for Grabs

Hey Alejandro,

Just go to http://news.mrdwab.com/2008-12-06/you-want-to-r... and you can find some more Profax stuff. I'm not really posting this because it's anything groundbreaking or anything of the sort. All this web stuff is just a side interest of mine, and I like learning new things. But, sometimes, I forget these new things, so I thought I would use this space to remind myself—maybe in the process, someone else will find these useful too...

Re: John Bender - I Don’t Remember Now

Oh, and one other reason I'm putting this here is the trouble I went through to get it! I first found the link on Yarrost's site to some Russian file-sharing site similar to Rapidshare (at least that's what it seemed like). I tried downloading it from there, but that didn't work. So, he was kind enough to also post it to Rapidshare. Well, Rapidshare is blocked at work, and my extremely slow cellular/wireless card kept truncating the file after about 20MB. So, I had to have Axle download the file for me, giving her instructions while chatting online. Then she didn't know what to do with an RAR file, so I had to wait until Shirvan could decompress it and email the files to me.... Fun times....
