I'm very excited to see the vive come out of demo and onto users heads, I tried it out at a microsoft event in london recently and it blew every other VR headset I've tried out o the water. great work HTC.

He should of got his mother a 1320/730 etc. the screen size is a big issue with elderly - hence why she has less issues with an iPad - the keyboard/dial pad is too small on a 520.
As you say its easy to set up a windows phone to be very single minded in its use case.
My mother (75) is now addicted to candy crush and facebook on her 7 inch Samsung tablet - but still uses a standard nokia phone - I suspect a large screen windows phone would work for her.
also iPhones are equally easy to use, as there's basically only one screen - if set up correctly.
android less so.

Yep it needs to drop on amazon theres only about £20 between 930 and 830 - and you get the speaker/wireless wireles charger offer with that

nokia does it again - I had a 920 but the 820 was in real terms a better device for most people, I think again this 830 and 730 are just perfect for most people. the 830 is particularly nice. Interesting to see how the selfie bit works for sales :)

Hi - I'm the author - glad you liked the game - there's a fix for the control issues coming - its already live on android. was a library issue.

The Arcade mode will be next with levels to complete and bonus penku stars that have power ups.

8.1 isn't out yet - its a developer only preview - of course it doesn't work with it yet.

I never got one with my 64GB 1020 from O2 - But to be honest I'm not worried as i have the charging cover on it - and wouldn't use a strap as a day to day use. I would probably use if with the camera grip (when i get one for summer hols) as It will be in a functional mode that I'm happy to use a wrist strap - flexibility is key.

I love the sharing cover (would be nice to be built in) but it provides a little invisible protection.

yep microsoft seem to not care about IP infringement. I guess its in the T&C that puts the responsibility on the developer not microsoft. They just do a standard set of tests. It makes it really hard to be discovered in the app store when there is so much flotsam

I'm interested in how close the game feels to the awesome artwork, which really give a dynamic feel of the mech and man linked. How did the artwork influence the feel of how you control a mammoth hunk of metal yet make it move like a human.

I didn't play '2' for this very reason - though I bought and paid for where's my water, perry and mickey. In fact i bought them on multiple platforms.

I suspect the decision is because people were not paying. So it ends up killing the product.
better to offer one time purchases like pay a 69p for 2 new worlds than endless consumable purchases.

theres a good reason for the speed up
at I/O 2012 they announced the Platform Development Kit, basically giving the 'big partners' like sammy, htc, lg etc advance access to the new version so they can start the process asap, rather than getting it the day its out and having to play catch up. This is the first major release since it was started. so we SHOULD see quicker updates.
