OneTrueFan uses your Twitter following list in order to show you what friends of yours have shared and visited the same sites. We also pick up your profile avatar from Twitter as well, along with public bio information such as your location and homepage. We would never EVER automatically publish anything to your Twitter stream, follow random people or mess with your profile at all. That would be super rude.

But if signing in with Twitter makes you feel uncomfortable, we also give you the ability to sign in with your Facebook profile as well. And same as with your Twitter profile, we pretty promise we will not make any changes or posts to your profile.

Since you are running the browser extension, and here on the blog we have the site widget installed, you might have encountered a little hiccup while syncing the two together. Go ahead and try clearing out your OneTrueFan cookies, restarting your browser and give it another spin.

If that doesn't work, please drop us a line at help.onetruefan.com and we will make sure we get everything back in ship shape :)

I couldn't agree with you more! One of the biggest opportunities Yahoo had with MyBlogLog was to get a head start in that direction, but unfortunately it never came to life. We have the chance now with OneTrueFan to hone in on these kinds of concepts and really make an impact this time around.

We have tons of stuff lined up soon, including possible iPad/mobile support, a great list of partner sites, and perhaps publisher stats. Its gonna be a fun year

If you click on the "Check-in" button on the toolbar, you should see 2 options: A) Turn autocheckins off for this site & delete my history and B) Uncheck me on just this page. If you choose A) you will no longer show up as a visitor to the site (and will not be in the running for OneTrueFanship)

If you are looking to add a keyword for our in-test links, try using the Refine search bar to point our recommendation in the right direction. Also, make sure that you add tags to your Flickr photos, so that Zemanta can find them when searching your personal photostream for relevant content.
