I agree completely that calling someone on the phone implies a higher level of connectedness (hopefully), but being able to engage in conversations that require less social capital, such as a quick DM question on Twitter help to build stronger relationships.

Not in our current plans, but things can always change. We always think about adding features that will give the most value to the most users. At some point comments about a blog may be helpful in deciding if a blog is worth your time.

I just checked your profile and noticed you only have 1 feed. If you add a few more feeds we will have enough info to match you with others on the site. We need to make the calculating screen let you know this, and we will make it more clear.

Glad to hear the import process was simple and easy for you, I agree a bit more info would be helpful or less savvy users. And I also agree that better organization of your own feeds will help with the discovery process a great deal.

I hear you and agree. Search is on the list. It is hard to do search well, so we may roll it out in stages and perfect it along the way. So you would really like to be able to quickly search your feeds to delete them? Just trying to understand what you want to do with the feeds you already subscribe to.

Marshall, I hear you on Toluu not having a great way to manage more than a few hundred feeds. We want to help people organize their feeds better as well. We are working on some organizational tools that should help. But, even just contributing what you are reading would be fantastic until then, so the rest of the people on Toluu and passersby can see what feeds you keep your eye on.

Louis is correct, Toluu is a project I work on after work and on the weekends. It is something I really wanted since I love finding cool new blogs and I wanted to know what my friends were reading. I wanted to get it out there as fast as possible and then see how people responded and actually used it and then work to improve it every day. If you set out to build something you find useful there are many people out there who probably will find it useful to. I can't think of many successful or popular web apps that started out with massive user bases or with the perfect business model from the get go. The whole point of web apps is for them to evolve and change quickly, and if you provide something people find useful then that is valuable. Plus it is tons of fun building something that people are using besides just your mom.

Alex, i am glad to hear you are enjoying Toluu I know I also check out the feeds you add, and now it should be even easier.

Your point about making it even faster to find interesting feeds is well taken and we are still sorting through the implications of such pages, but we are thinking about it a lot.
