I've already donated a little to see this continue, and thanks for doing it!

On my end, however, I'm having some problems getting it working in tinymce 4.0.8. On my installation, all the files and folders are set correctly, but it won't display or use images that are already there, and even freshly uploaded ones do not display. It sees a file, but not its name or correct location, just the correct amount of default blank icons. When I click on, say, the first blank icon to insert an uploaded image, It writes the following code:

.[1]

When I look on the FTP, it's uploaded the image, but renamed it to .[1]. -that's right, no extension or anything. If I pull that file down and rename it to whatever.jpg, it's intact.

From the root of my site, the filemanager folder is under ROOT/admin/filemanager, and I'm using a folder off the root called /uploads for the uploaded images and the thumbs go to ROOT/images/thumbs/ since you said thumbs can't be inside the same folder as the uploads. Here's my config:

$base_url='http://MY URL'; // base url (only domain) of site (without final /). If you prefer relative urls leave empty
$upload_dir = '/uploads/'; // path from base_url to base of upload folder (with start and final /)
$current_path = '../../uploads/'; // relative path from filemanager folder to upload folder (with final /)
//thumbs folder can't put inside upload folder
$thumbs_base_path = '../../images/thumbs/'; // relative path from filemanager folder to thumbs folder (with final /)

my tinymce code looks like this:

<script type="text/javascript">
tinymce.init({
selector: "textarea",
plugins: [
"advlist autolink lists link image charmap print preview anchor",
"searchreplace visualblocks code fullscreen",
"insertdatetime media table contextmenu paste responsivefilemanager"
],
content_css: "editlayout.css",
selector: "textarea.mceEditor",
toolbar: "undo redo | styleselect | bold italic | alignleft aligncenter alignright alignjustify | bullist numlist outdent indent | link responsivefilemanager",
external_filemanager_path:"/admin/filemanager/",
filemanager_title:"Responsive Filemanager" ,
external_plugins: { "filemanager" : "/admin/filemanager/plugin.min.js"}
});
</script>
Any thoughts on where I'm going wrong?

Re: The Bookstore Strikes Back

Well, rantguy, it's a little late to say "not to be quite cynical". You were very cynical. The point I took away from this was not "everybody go and open a brick-and-mortar bookstore because it was easy for me"; I understood it as Ms. Patchetts' expressing that such a place has value that cannot be replicated online, and to explain how and why she committed to it. I have been to Parnassus and it is wonderful, but I understand that it is, in fact, unique, born of a once-in-a-lifetime situation. That does not mean that people should not strive to revive the independent bookstore, and her supposed "ease" in doing so does not render the attempt "not reproducible" (although I would TOTALLY go to Neil Gaiman's bookstore if he had one). More difficult, perhaps, but this was about the value of such a thing and not about its feasibility.

Re: Disney Acquires Lucasfilm; Promises Star Wars VII in 2015; Lucas Passes “To a New Generation of Filmmakers”

I don't know . . .
