These points, or economic strategy, have been the cornerstone of Obama's campaign from the beginning. This is precisely why he gets my vote and support. Another is developing alternative energy sources thus creating jobs and investments in ourselves.

This whining has got to stop. The press is all over McCain's lies.
Our 527's are ready to roll. Obama has changed his tone. He has called McCain a liar and is sticking to the issues. Everything is ready to turn around but us. At this moment, It's not the low information voter who is being manipulated.

You are absolutely correct. This blather about what Barack needs to do or that he must man up is absurd. Obama asked that we let the dust settle. Quess what, that very same kitchen sink that came back and hit Hillary in the head is heading straight toward McCain's big head.

Yep. I was listening to the news on the radio and they mentioned the McCain camp's outrage, but they also pointed out that McCain used the same phrase himself to refer to Hillary Clinton.

I agree with "no apologies" but I wouldn't push it. Huge double standard here. Nappy headed ho's, black holes, etc -- when the other side makes a blooper, you jump all over them, call for their heads, have them fired. It's politics. If you can't run with the dogs, don't piss with the puppies.

The context was McCain's failed policies which, when they don't take it out of context, is clear. The crowd loved it but the lipstick metaphor was introduced by the McCain camp and they need to embrace it. No apologies. They have hijacked the press with the sexism scam and now the lipstick scam. Enough!

Context is everything in politics. Everyone knows it's an expression, but many people now think it was an uncharacteristically snide remark about the Pitbull/Lipstick remark, as the crowd went crazy, stood up, and applauded when he said it. Imagine if the situation were reversed. Uppity indeed.

It's an expression. In fact, I think both Bush and Cheney have used it. It was not about Palin but McCain's same old policies. Her name was not mentioned, nor was she alluded to. There was video posted on DKos of Bush and Cheney saying 'lipstick on a pig'. (Sorry, I am link dropping challenged) Barack should not even consider an apology. Enough!
