The same plan could easily be used for weight gain. It covers everything from mental, nutritional, supplementation and training. One a single page you can get a really good overview of what it will take to achieve your goals. I'm really glad you liked it.

Re: The Top Ten Reasons You Sold Stocks on March 9th, 2009

"It’s exhausting to think about all the missed opportunities if you take investing seriously." Then it should make it online to the bigger retailers. I checked Netrition and it wasn't there.. yet. But I'm certain it will be very soon. If you buy from GNC. Too many changes and the learning curve to use a social site isn't worth it. A big long list of status updates with group stuff along the side with ads... crap. Personal preference I guess but I just found myself using it less and less. It's easy to send updates via Hellotxt.com and forget the rest of it. Watching other people work in offices and attending meetings, etc? This isn't a new idea or a great idea. It's more of the same on a much bigger scale. The company has the right to do what it wants without a doubt but it's disappointing to see people jump on this as if it's such a great idea and innovation. It's not the type of innovation we need to move this country forward.

Re: Most Americans Know Their Diet Stinks

Beth - Always a pleasure! You mentioned this Viigo app. Interesting as I've been approached to write for a company that is using that to publish their content. I'm a big mobile user myself so I'll investigate this further. So it's not really "free" per se. I find that type of marketing to be dishonest even though if you read it clearly, there's no hidden fees.

Furthermore.. if I paid for this and 2 years later it was totally free. I'd be pissed. Everybody is looking to gather new customers. Big biz to small biz. But what about your current customers?

You get the best deals when you sign up for a new internet service.. You get $50 Adwords credit for a new account. You get the free toaster for the new Bank account.

But if you are a 5 year customer? You get nothing.

I was told that you never ever give away your paid bread and butter product for free. I think that was good advice then and it's good advice now.

Re: Muscle Chow

Mark,

If you can eat eggs and dairy... then 70% of the recipes would still work. If you can't eat beef, turkey, eggs or dairy.. then it's not really going to be worthwhile. You'd have to do so much modifications you'd be a chef. It could be done but it may not be a venture you'd want to invest a lot of time doing.

Really depends on your personal level of veganism.

Re: Muscle Chow

Sure.. learning how to cook. But since then, the pressure to make meals and not just force myself to do them has vanished. I found something I can identify with that fits my "I dislike" cooking attitude. Certainly used to be unfishished business or unresolved issues. That was a gap. Nutrition is important but I can't live life with oatmeal, egg whites and chicken breasts! But I can't stand cooking nor difficult meals.

Carlos.. you nailed it. And once I found something to connect me with making food easy to cook and helped me thru the pains of learning how to do it simply, I feel... relieved.

Re: The Steroid User Next Door

Brian,

Great reply! You listed your thoughts and I didn't find it to be a ramble. I felt the article pointed out some other uses and reasons why people might take them beyond the obvious bodybuilding aspect.

I found the 14 year old who needed to be 170 lbs really fast for the 19 year old who "tried everything" to be sadder cases. The bodybuilder who's experienced with years under the belt is not even in the same boat as some 14 year old that is confused and immediately heads down the path without even being old enough to consider the ramifications.

When it comes to steroids... it's always pro sports or bodybuilders.

But there's many others who are taking or would take them for many other reasons than to get huge or be at the top of their game.

It's a different perspective. One I found interesting as I didn't think about it because it wasn't in my field of vision.

Re: Tool Time Friday | Wanna Double Your… (Part 3)

When I tried this.. config.trim_on_minimize. Gets smaller if not used. But it doesn't become something else.

When you stop taking creatine, some people will lose that "extra" strength. Or feeling they can do a few more reps. Creatine supplies the muscles with ATP. Energy for more contractions and muscle firing to do more work.

When you stop, if you respond that is in the first place, you will just not have the extra ATP in surplus to be able to pump out a few more reps.

You don't lose anything per se because creatine itself does not build muscle. The more intense, harder workouts people claim they get from taking it may cause a stalemate or a less intense workout and maybe less muscle mass but stopping creatine will not cause a lose of anything. Except some extra water weight becuase of cell volumization.
