Mr. Jackson had not reportedly lived on the ranch full time since his acquittal on child molestation charges in 2005 and the ranch & rides fell into disrepair. The property was saved from foreclosure in 2008 when Jackson filed a grant deed that transferred ownership of the property to the Sycamore Valley Ranch Company (a joint venture between Jackson and Colony Capital), according to Associated Press reports.

Re: How Low Will Apple Go?

I'm with you marcos!

Re: How Low Will Apple Go?

I believe that the people of America and the children and such, and Iraq and I believe uh, uh, uh, the hysterical maybe number is 69. The stock is about as cheap as one could expect it to be, an incredible bargain. And by buying deep in the money calls, and/or leaps, then you're leveraging these cheap shares to your advantage.

Re: Apple is a Buy Here, and Again Here

So, in other words, buy AAPL stock now and some leaps.

Re: Will Apple Get Lift From IBM Profit?

I'm calling a bottom at 7850 for the Dow. the problem is, I don't see why it will go back up from there very quickly if at all for a long time. Ok, there may be some brief pop up but it will only be temporary. There is NO liquidity out there. NO money and the Fed has pumped in more money this past week in more strange and revolutionary ways then ever imagined before. Apple will tank to somewhere in the 70's for a short while. Its a buy anywhere around here for the patient investor. But for now, we are all in the wilderness, big time.

Re: Apple Investors Take Heed in the Fate of RIM

Zacko, its whacko out there. I said it before and I have to repeat it again. Washington DC is pooping in our Wheaties. Markets are rising (?) and falling (mostly) on confidence and emotion not as in the case of AAPL with respect to results and expectations. European confidence is fading fast and they will have bank failures and a crisis there is emerging. As much as I would love to gloat over Europe's problems, it still comes home to roost. This is all going down to create new bottoms and new entry opportunities. I know, Zacko you deal in technicals, but I am a child of emotionals. For the next few months the emotionals are the leading indicators and the makers of your technicals.

Re: Apple Investors All Eyes on Ben, Henry and Congress

Don't count on Washington DC. Those fools can't find their behinds with both hands. The oversold conditions will become MORE oversold because frustration with political wrangling will be taken with a huge dose of "it ain't gonna happen" which will torpedo the market all the more. Wait and see.

Re: Apple Investors Get One Last Bear Hug, Going Long AAPL

" I think the critical indicator right now is the S&P 500 index. I'm going strictly by technical analysis. It might take a few days for the position to get going, that's why I gave it plenty room for the entry. If you noticed the timing, I announced the position at a time when the price was at the top end of the entry. I fully expect a pullback, perhaps through the entry range of $126-$132, but that's when I'm a buyer.

I think the critical indicator right now is the S&P 500 index. This is far from over and Apple does not react to its own good news lately but rather to the bad news of the market.

The optimism flag is premature, Believe me, way too premature. How long did it take for the combined efforts of both parties to enact and then put to work the 'stimulus' package? Remember that just a few months ago? Don't give the bastards in DC any credit for being able to make something good happen any time soon.

Re: Apple Investors Can We Expect a Retest of the Lows?

We are defnitely NOT out of the woods. There will be newer lows. The financial sector may be shored up temporarily with this 'jawboning' talk but credit card debt, declining house prices, banks continued reluctance to lend (now its just ability to lend be looked at but not reluctance) and mountains of derivative houses of cards are yet to fall. We are not quite 1/3 the way through this mess. Watch and see.

Re: Apple Investors 89 Is the Number

I guess in this case that depends on from which day you say the downtrend actually started. Banning shorts, why?
Second, how am I supposed to feel good about putting my money in CitiBank, Wacovia, Wamu and a host of others who haven't yet been taken to the cleaners for their bum loans? What's happened now is just spot remover.
Third, what about all those highly leveraged derivatives tumbling? Does this new RTC cover this?
Finally, what about my home mortgage? I can't get one because I lost money in the stock market, or am part of the 25,000 that HP is going to layoff or because my lender just won't lend to anyone because my neighbor's house is dropping in value. How low can you go. Limbo lower now. You can be a limbo star. We are far from a bottom, and if you limbo the lowest, we will lower the bottom to a new bottom. Sick. I am not going to commit capital at this stage to try to recover from the huge beating it has given me. I need to see it hit a lower level, much lower and I think its coming to that. Apple has plenty of good news on its side but it is a long term play for now and nothing will lift it in the short term. Money acts rationally and money will stay back and preserve its options for a better time, which will come---much later on. There is still too much bad news to come out of Wall St. in these next two quarters. The big money has pretty much written off the year and will undoubtedly dump out of positions beginning in about 1 day.

Re: Apple Investors Fasten Your Seatbelts, Put on Your Crash Helmets

I dunno, Zack. The market is taking AAPL down because that's what it likes to do. The only thing that will bump AAPL is earnings. The PE ratio seems to be the factor and due to market malaise it is stuck in a low multiple. With market optimism the multiple increases but for now, it is contracting, so the only thing left is earnings. They are not reported for the time being and no one is paying attention to Piper's forecasts. If its any comfort, we are all right on AAPL, its the best and it will go up.

Re: Gartner, Industry Still Don’t Understand what Apple’s iPhone is About

Yeh, right, I get the bridge analogy but this bridge is incomplete as yet and you still can't drive across any part of it without facing huge gaps in the paving.
