If you'd spent five days a week writing about cats, would you have been able to sell PunkRockHR?

I notice that 12 of your last 15 posts are more or less work-related (I wasn't sure which category to count the Halloween office party post in), or roughly 4/5... ;)

Re: Job-Seekers: Four-Fifths Of Your Tweets Should Be Business - mediabistro.com: MediaJobsDaily

This is such a big subject for a comment, but I am offended when someone tries to craft a formula for job-seeking-success using social media tools.

- If four-fifths of your tweets should be business-related, should four-fifths of your life be business-related?
- Does data exist to show that women who tweet too much about their cats can't find a job?
- Should we start stripping away our personal lives and become robots that are wholly dedicated to enhancing shareholder value and profitability?

Must write a little more about social media & finding a job in a more thoughtful way, but I totally hated these tips.

xoxoxo

Re: Job-Seekers: Four-Fifths Of Your Tweets Should Be Business - mediabistro.com: MediaJobsDaily

For real? They guy seemed really unstable. I suppose standing out in the rain on a Thursday night "directing" traffic isn't the best job in the world. But the banging on the care and stuff...really aggressive. I'm sure that he did't like how it was going with 500 cars before me, and somehow he didn't like what I did (go straight). A suggestion to the guy...wear refelctive gear and have flashlights if you want to direct traffic in a rainstorm. And don't bang on my car.

Re: Strange Chemistry

Wow, you're lucky you weren't hurt.

I feel sorry for weird people like that, akshully.
