They've got their nerve! They have sat there and
allowed a host of initiatives (that are important to black people) to go unattended. When is the
first time that this group of do-nothings (until the last minute) challenged the dictatorial rein of
George Bush; now they want to shuffle up to the brother and he's not having it. The reality is
that Obama must dance with the one that brought him to the dance, however, I believe that he
will take an ocassional detour to make a direct impact upon our community. The greatest impact
will come from his general programs - - not special considerations. The first face that haunts
my vision is Maxine Waters, I can only see her demeanor when she was campaigning for Hilary
Clinton, as she shuffled to the music from Dollar Bill's saxiphone. I'm sick of all of those impotent officials. If we threw ALL of those bums out - we wouldn't be any worse off.

Re: White House: Ill. needs to know details on Burris

Burris, like ALL politicians is guilty of "Let's Make A Deal". The Glass House syndrome rides
again.. The part that burns me up is the self righteousness of the Senate - in particular. Everybody knows that they are the most guilty of all when it comes to the one note samba;
ME, ME, ME, ME! The only way that this is going to be changed is for the Voters to "THROW
THE BUMS OUT", cause the country to come to a stand still, and let's see if that will solve
the problem. These are the same people who voted the American people into this mess
we find ourselves in, so who are they to point fingers at Burris. The only difference between
them and Burris, is that his alledged tansgressions were possibly recorded, and that's
the only reason that he came forth. Now, run and tell that.

Re: Obama’s election has raised aspirations of young blacks

Oooohhh the folly of youth. This is the generation who will have the task of putting things in
perspective. They'll be the ones who must put two & two together; that having a black
President does not compute into FREEDOM for black people. This is the part of the game
that will define the reality of what America is. An important part of this puzzle is that the rest
of the world is watching - and Obama will pay more attention to that than he will to those
blacks around him. The reality is that
he doesn't have time to deal with BLACK PROBLEMS. He's dancing with the ones who brung him. This is not to say that he wasn't wrong for not taking questions, but its up to
the black coomunity and press to FORCE him to pay attention to them. Remember, he's
a Constitutional scholar; he knows exactly what he's doing. Oh well - - be careful what you
ask for!!

Re: Reverend Jeremiah Wright admits to being hurt by distancing tactics of Obama campaign

Rev. Wright has "RIGHTLY" been cast as a player - mover - shaker... I'm certain that Obama's advisors know that and will act accordingly. I also believe that Obama agreed with MORE of what his former pastor uttered in the pulpit than he will acknowledge. However, it's like Pastor Wright say's, it's not about the person - it's about the policies that are put forth. This is how we all should be looking at this perdicament. The world will begin to see that the America of 2000 and 2004 are not nearly as intellegent as the America of the 1940's. The proof of the pudding is in the popular vote that pitted a top Harvard graduate against a bottom feeding, ignorant, racist who got into the naval academy on his grandfather's and father's accomplishments - and was next to last in his class. I believe that Rev. Wright's remarks were embraced by those who heard the entirety of what he had to say, and will be heralded by history - - when all is said and done.

Re: OK… What’s next? It is common sense to assume that
his presidential actions can't fall far from the tree of last minute hand outs! like Teddy Pendergrast say's "Wake Up ALL You People"!

Re: Hillary Clinton to accept Obama’s offer of secretary of state job

I don't remember hearing that the job has been offered!!

Re: Experts: Media perpetuated race-based vote myth

The idea was indeed a myth, but the popular vote totals were not! The people of the world
are scratching their heads, trying to figure out why a John McCain and Sarah Palin could
get as many votes as they did. The USA simply showed that we are just as divided as we were
in 1860. A Harvard graduate VS a next to the bottom graduate of the Naval Academy (who got in on his daddy's name) who supported a two time president - who will go down as one of the worst presidents we've ever had, that also got in on his daddy's name and was himself a C student at best... Don't blame it on the media, they were doing their job. Media or no Media, the question becomes; what kind of dumb --- is this electorate?
