These bills aren't forcing anyone to live on top of each other. They are allowing people to build duplexes, if they so choose to, on their land. Why shouldn't someone be able to build what they want on land they own? It seems like anyone for a free market should be for this.

Virginia needs to pass a law to allow undocumented immigrants to get drivers licenses, so cops don't have that as a pretense to detain someone.

Both NYC and Chicago are very pro-business, pro-growth and pro-development and have been largely run by Democrats with the past 50 years. Despite the high taxes in Chicago, it is home to many Fortune 500 companies. NYC, on the other hand has had strong growth, is the heart of the finance industry and has been highly developed.

I think we can all agree that government should not hinder growth, job creation, economic development and all the other things you list -- which is it doing now.

Although I am a staunch Democrat, I think that what you have in NWI is a party that has been in power for too long, one that is stagnant and corrupt, in desperate need of change. Perhaps an electoral shake-up will be better for the party long term.
