There just isn't such a thing. A higher incidence of something doesn't make it a better thing.

Re:

Which Dog Food

Janette

I experimented with a lot of food - I found a few
issues. I couldn't give Hatter a wheat-based one because it caused him
allergies. STAY AWAY from maize - it made Hatter mental. I switched
permanently to James Wellbeloved Senior/Light - he calmed down again in
about a week or so.

"Studies have also shown that high doses of
corn can inhibit serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is an important
chemical that reduces stress and anxiety."

http://www.dogbreedinfo.com...

Highly
recommend the James Wellbeloved Senior - he's got bright eyes, a shiny
coat and the vet says he's very fit. It's 18% protein which is the level
my behaviourist recommended.

Also consider Zylkene as a
supplement - its helping Hatter quite a bit - especially with his noise
phobia. We're also considering prozac or similar because of his reaction
to maize - vet says he could very well be suffering from low serotonin
levels. Apparently it can work miracles with dogs with high
anxiety/fear issues.

The vet says we should try all the other things first but if you've tried everything else ask your vet for medicinal help.

All the best - say hello to your lab for us.

Re: 61% of us have had our hearts broken

Do we get counted all the times we've had our hearts broken. No probably not, we'd be at 100% on my heartbreaks alone.

Re: Has London’s Skyline Been Ruined?

The skyline is being screwed because so many new tall buildings look like willies. I love towering skylines and find Canary Wharf very photogenic but the Shard is hideous. I grew up in Chicago so I guess I'm maybe spoiled by a city created by the Bauhaus school and their students. Clean lines, neatly spaced with a bit of breathing room works best.

Re: Half Of Londoners Would Rather Live Elsewhere

I moved here 15 years ago from Chicago and have mixed feelings. The coldness of the people chills me more than a Chicago winter. Why can't we be nice to one another? Why are we (Londoners) always so angry and uncaring?

But as for the good things...transport and entertainment. There is so much to see and do and so many tubes and trains and buses to get around. I hate driving and here in London I don't have to be a driver. And there are so many museums and galleries and things to do, and yes I do still do all the touristy things even after 15 years, still not tired of it.

Re: Pat Butcher Dead

Have you seen this one: http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: TV: House \ Episode 8.1 \ Sky

I was extremely impressed by Hugh Laurie's ability to carry the show without any of the supporting cast.

Re: Private: Commuter Diary #1

Very interesting post...there must be as many reasons to blog as there are, not bloggers, but posts themselves. I feel like mine are sort of burnt letters - those things you jot down while struggling to sort your feelings, then burn and watch the ashes gently drift off into the air.

Re: Are you sitting comfortably? I had such a consultation and found out I was sitting incorrectly, and using my mouse in a painful way. I was issued an ergonomic chair and a footrest which has reduced my pain when working enormously. This is just another example of trying to make headlines out of nothing.

Re: Eurovision 2011: After the Final

I'm not all that good with this Eurovision stuff but I was utterly shocked by the outcome, except maybe Italy.
