Hurrah for ADD blogs! You know what? I've been doing this for ten years and okay, so admittedly I've been focussing more on music-themed features as my freelance portfolio has expanded, writing about whatever takes my fancy at any given time has never done me any harm.

Your blog does have a focus - Ari! And we're all here because we love it ;)

I got out of my gym contract because of my sore knees. And then I bought a Wii Fit and have been using it ever since!

There's no point in continuing if you're not getting anything out of the project. You're absolutely right, it's not about merely posting any old picture - it's about learning to use your camera and taking the chance to be creative. You've had too much upheaval in your life lately to force yourself to continue to do something that you don't really care about.

Hope to see you about Flickr again soon, when that DSLR arrives!

The "freezing the CC in ice" trick used to work for me, except for that one time I got into a total panic and realized that buy running hot water over the ice block, I could melt it in about five minutes.

But in principle...it works :)

If it makes you feel any better I could tell you how much I spent when I was over your side of the ocean...

I'm putting my credit card in the freezer once I'm done unpacking, which I think is a trick I learned from The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic. I don't want to cut it up in case we do need it for an emergency, but if it's trapped in ice I will at least have at least a day to figure out if the purchase really is one!

I read somewhere that people sleep in two-hour cycles... so you'll feel rested after six hours, or eight, but not seven.

I tend to get about six hours sleep a night but I'm ALWAYS tired! I'm not built to get up at 7:30am...

Well that's the bad thing about the iPhone... it's so easy to go to bed and half an hour later you're still having one last check of email or Twitter.

I agree that the iPhone camera only excels in natural light...but I had the same issue with the camera on my Bold, so it's really more about mobile device cameras, not the iPhone :)

I have heard good things about Tweetie, everyone seems to recommend it and from what you say, it sounds like what I've been using for my BB, so that's good.

Ah a case for my iphone is a must... Definitely. I'm too clumsy to risk it and even if it works with a cracked screen, I'd rather not chance it. Plus then it won't look pretty!

I use Tweetie. It's a paid-for app, and there are probably free ones that do a similar job, but it's one that was recommended to me. It's great - has integration with Twitpic, automatically shortens urls, easy to RT and follow hashtags, you can follow chains of replies... love it.

To save you getting bombarded with comments from me (damn these timezones, so I'm sleeping when you reply!!) as for what you were saying yesterday about being worried you'll break it - I've dropped mine SCREEN FIRST loadsa times and it's fine. But I did buy a clip-on back from eBay, and I do have a cute case for it.

My assistant, on the other hand, has broken TWO iPhones so far. Still, despite the fact the screen is smashed to pieces, the touch-screen still works!!

Ooh that's good, I'll have to look to see if anything similar is going on with sprint.

You've reminded me of something - I'm very clumsy and terrified of dropping it. I might need to invest in a very good protective case.
