1) Yes. Well, to subscribe anyhow, I'm unclear on how/if web browsing is charged.
2) Amazon. They charge it as part of their document conversion and delivery fee.

Quite cool, but I won't be able to make this one due to the Copynight meetup.

How was this advertised? I'd like to be able to show up to further meetings. Also, Damien Fox of Wireless Nomad will be at copynight, and I bet he'd have liked to show up for this too.

Scratch the E,F thing. Turns out that was a hoax like the guitar hero suit. But they did sue universities back in the napster days.

Bonus features, allowing single-track purchases on iTunes, now ditching DRM. Metallica is finally starting to listen to their fans. Good for them.

I'm still uneasy about giving them money after their days of suing over the E,F chords or suing universities. I think I'll pass on this album.

I'd turn down the frequency of my RSS reader and only use twitter over SMS. All of my bandwidth is to be saved for that one documentary on Google Video.

I'm in the same boat but I don't regret it quite as much. NewsBreak, email, and Opera Mobile work well. Voice quality on the HTC Touch is awful though. I rarely talk on the thing so it's not a huge deal to me.

I do miss having a keyboard on my phone. I should've gotten a Telus blackberry.

Great way to avoid security risks and ads. More reliable than Bell DNS servers (both Sympatico and Mobile). Typosquatting-avoidance is great too.
