You can be prolific on social media... you can even be outright popular... but does that mean you have a positive return? I'm still struggling over the concepts of being prolific and running/driving a business.

Re: 5 Ways Traditional Media is Going Social

I am also interested in this. Hmmm.. Buzz Driving is Drunk Driving!
I'm kidding.. let me give you a better one.

Life may be more akin to a series of meets than a single marathon. You can lose a race here or there, as long as you win in one contest, in one area. All the struggles you endured will become a prized investment in your own person.

Re: How Kyle Lacy Was Right

"Authenticity can never be substituted by automation." The psychological need for being the "go-to" person in a specific industry is a very egocentric emotional drive. Ego? In Social Media? Definitely not a new concept.

Other than the simple fact of "knowing" what is new, recognition is a huge piece of the puzzle. "We" get more out of online recognition from our peers.

It may be as simple as the mainstream does not receive the same emotional push when collaborating online.

Re: Why Twitter Has Failed: The Power of Time and Mainstream

Your preaching to the choir.
