If I were you, I'd go to the library and lask a librarian to help you
find their animal books. I know, I know... libraries sound so
old-fashioned and dusty! But a good library will have a great
selection of books about all sorts of animals. Some of the best
animal-related books - for the type of project you're working on -
will probably be found in the kids section. Kids' animal books
usually offer a very wide variety of the most interesting facts about
animals in unambiguous language that nearly everyone can understand.
But don't forget to check out the non-kids books too!

Well, good luck! It's never too soon to start working on your dreams.
You should check with local veterinary offices, zoos, farms, and
animal shelters to see if they have any space for an intern. Don't be
above offering to work for free - experience doing something you love
is well worth the absence of a paycheck.

That's unfortunately revealing. :( How can it be fixed? If so many
people believe that its policies and leadership need to change, why
hasn't there been a general outcry and revolution of positive change?

I agree with you in most cases, but a lot of people think that certain
breeds of dogs are inherently more dangerous than others. You're
right though - on average, pit bulls are just as easy to train as
chihuahuas.

I would guess that "flightless bird" refers to someone who is weakened
in some way, or not reaching his/her potential, or is undervalued, or
something like that, but I have no idea about the "American mouth"
part.

You make several good points, especially when you write, "I feel the
court knew he was trying to take them for research purposes because he
could of gotten up to 10 years jail time for a crime like he did but
he only got a year." I hadn't considered the idea that perhaps he had
actually received a very lenient sentence. Thanks for your input.

It's really hard to reach a mutually beneficial, reasonable compromise
in situations like this, but you're right - people should always try
