It’s your website so I do want to play by your rules.

Just to be clear…..

When it’s personalized, that’s bad. When it’s generalized, just about anything goes, correct? Also, if it’s personalized, make sure it’s aimed at a public figure – preferably a conservative – then it’s allowed.

Let’s glance over the 70% of articles that in one way or another accuse, intimate or declare any and all on the right of being racists, Nazis or inbred hicks. Those are just stating the obvious. In the article and comment in question here, the proper response, if I understand you correctly, is something like this:

“There goes (another in a long series of liberal writers) again. I have too much respect for (their collective) intelligence, so I’m forced to conclude (they) know what the truth is but prefer to (misinform the public) in order to cover it up for political purposes.”

I’ll assume the balance of the comment was allowed since it was a rebuttal of the thrust of the article – that Sarah Palin was lying about Obama’s healthcare plan because she’s one of those crazy racist hillbilly conservatives – except for the last part which should read:

“By denying it, Barack Obama, (various and sundry writers) and every other person trying to weasel their way around the subject are (saying things with no basis in fact).

Got it.

Was the “grow some balls” ok or do we need to make that a little more generic?

Also, would saying “Bite me” to Wannabe Centrist violate the rules?

There you to again. I have too much respect for your intelligence, so I’m forced to conclude you know what the truth is but prefer to lie in order to cover it up for political purposes.

As an advocate of “Death Panels”, I would like to see those who believe in the concept stand up and make the argument for them. Yes, at some point, it is simply bad economics, bad medicine and bad government to keep people alive by extraordinary measures with the accompanying extraordinary costs.

If that is what you believe, stand up, say it and explain why your viewpoint is the correct one for the country.

Sarah Palin is telling the truth. Ultimately, this is the major decision the country must make to arrive at a healthcare plan that meets all the goals laid down by every President since Roosevelt.

By denying it, Barack Obama, Joe Gandelman and every other person trying to weasel their way around the subject is lying.

Grow some balls. Tell the truth.

The day of reckoning is coming for a large group of Democrats that were swept into power in conservative districts, along with those who are in swing districts that traditionally suffer when the party in power takes a beating.

Midterm elections tend to have a pendulum effect that swing in proportion to the perceived change of the Presidential election.

Next November is going to be a really bad time to be a Democrat hoping to hold on to seat in congress.

The one thing I know we can all agree on is how great it is to be alive in the post-racial, post-partisan wonderland of Barack Obama’s America.

What is all the fuss about healthcare? Why would Republicans distort anything in Pelosi’s plan? It’s not like it’s something truly important – like school lunches or social security.

Remember when Republican were going to make “Draconian cuts”?

Children would have been starving in the streets and senior citizens would have been thrown out in the snow on Christmas Eve if Democrats hadn’t stopped their evil plan.

In his defense, the point that the only violence has been by leftist union thugs against concerned citizens is something that could only have been left out of the original article on purpose in order to deceive the readers.

It is truly frightening to read a comment like Father Time’s because it’s becoming clear that he is saying what most Democrats feel.

When people start to openly say that we elected a leader and should therefore “comply” with his wishes without comment, it shows how important it is to maintain an active opposition. Suggesting that the minority should be ignored and open meetings are unnecessary highlights how a charismatic figure can overwhelm the rationality of the easily persuaded.

Now there are those on the left who accept and probably cheer on the violence of the union thugs against citizens speaking against socialized healthcare.

How quickly those who profess to be tolerant and open minded turn into the arbiters of what is allowable speech and acceptable thought. If your opinion of a policy doesn’t match that of the Leader, you had best keep it to yourself – otherwise you risk a beating or being reported to the government.

Where have all the “liberals” gone.

Let’s review this together so that everyone can understand what happened.

“Standing just inside was a union member that is affiliated with my employer. He saw me and took my picture. The man standing next to noticed and I explained the situation to him. Within moments I had several people ask me if I would be "okay" and I assured them that I would be.”

A union member who is affiliated with her employer took her picture. This would lead reasonable people to believe that the intention of the union member was to try to impact her employment in some negative fashion.

When she explained to people near her, they asked if she would be okay. Don’t you think they meant with her employer? I’m pretty sure they weren’t asking if she was physically okay from the trauma of having her picture taken.

Of course, you can report this act of subversion to flag@whitehouse.gov. I’m sure they have little medals by now for informers that turn in dissenters.

It’s time some of you face the facts.

Go try to find a report about conservatives attacking a liberal speaker. Find examples of intimidation and violence. You’ll find that “both sides” don’t do it – it is all leftist thugs trying to prevent people from hearing conservative ideas.

The same thing is going on in the healthcare debate. Citizens are demanding that politicians truthfully answer their questions about the program the leftists are trying to ram through congress without even reading it. Union thugs and Acorn ex-convicts are threatening and using violence to silence them.

What’s next? Teachers ridiculing the children of conservatives for not support “the leader”? Mobs of leftists vandalizing the shops and businesses of conservatives because their possessions are undeserved? Should Obama and Nancy Pelosi devise some sort of marking that conservatives would be required to wear so that they are more easily identified on the street?

Trying to shut down talk radio and Fox news, asking useful idiots to report and inform on their neighbors, violently accosting people at town halls and demonizing whole groups of citizens are not the actions of a freedom-loving government.

Until you’re ready to defend the right of people to speak points of view you disagree with, you’re just another Youth Group goose stepping to the goal of National Socialism.

For decades, even the most vile leftist speakers on college campuses have been able say whatever their disease-addled minds could conceive without fear of being physically attacked. On the other hand, even the most middle of the road conservatives require bodyguards and face a gauntlet of threats and violence for exercising their right to free speech.

From this training ground for little fascists and the more advanced boot camps run by unions and organizations like Acorn, thugs are being dispatched to intimidate and silence concerned citizens trying to voice their opposition to socialize healthcare.

People look back on pre-war Germany and ask why the country didn’t realize they were falling into a fevered sickness of National Socialism, demonizing groups of people in order to galvanize the weak minded into an obedient mob following a charismatic leader.

Once again, followers adopt the mantra that the end justifies the means.

What is next? Will Obama try to emulate Chavez and shut down radio and television media that are against him? How about making a list of people and groups that oppose socialization?

It doesn’t matter how hard leftist try to stop free speech, they will never succeed.

As with all things, if you want to know the headlines for tomorrow, read jwest’s comments today.

Yesterday I said union thugs would be getting violent trying to silence concerned citizens at town hall meetings. Not since 1939 have we seen socialists use physical threats against people wishing to preserve their freedom.

Regardless of the intimidation, free speech loving republicans will stand up to these brown shirts to hold elected representatives to their promises.

Anyone who quotes the NYP as a credible source other than for comic relief knows nothing about actual journalism and/or citing Sources. When did anyone from the Post win a Pulitzer?

NYP- Owned by Murdoch, owner of Fox, the Daily Sun....supermarket tabloids wearing "journalistic big boy pants" - Sensasionalist hot button pushers. Murdoch is the PT Barnum of the Press. But hey, for a quarter, you get what you pay for.

I have to agree with Joe.

If someone starts bringing up voting records, quotes statistics or points out when their representative is lying they need a good beating by union thugs. Then, their names need to be placed on the White House Enemies List.

Just because we have a Constitution that talks about free speech, it doesn’t mean there is a right to criticize Obama. He’s black, you know. Anyone speaking against socialize medicine is therefore a racist.

Why do these right-wing crazies want their congressmen to read these bills before voting for them anyway? What kind of Nazi, KKK inspired idea is that?

When will all good Americans realize that it’s their duty to report anyone speaking against Obama’s programs? Let’s all pitch in and help Nancy Pelosi expose all of the swastika wearing protesters.

Shaivo’s husband convinced one judge that she should die. All subsequent reviews were of the law allowing the judge to make that decision – not of the facts of the medical case or the assertion that it was her wish to die.

These are the type of facts that liberals seem to ignore when riding their high horse. You seem to believe that if Iraq had not been invaded, the country would be a benign, kite flying land of happy, non-nuclear Arabs. It’s all so clear and easy, isn’t it?

The tragedy here is that liberals think they are smart and informed.

Well, let’s take those first in line. Kritt shows the depth of misunderstanding evident on the left, so we’ll start there.

Dick Cheney and (I’m assuming you’re thinking of Scooter Libby) outed Plame? It’s pretty obvious you never got farther than a Keith Olbermann screed concerning the facts of this incident. Research, think, come back and we’ll talk.

You’ve got me on invading Iraq without knowing exactly how every faction was going to react and having a plan that made everyone in the country happy and content on day one. How they could have proceeded without this plan is unforgivable.

Liberals have adopted a universal view that the opposition to killing Terry Shiavo was due to some religious fervor that makes people want to keep vegetables alive. As one of the atheists who wanted Shiavo to have a court review her medical condition and hear testimony from her parents prior to starving her to death, I thought it would be nice if people had the right to a second look before being killed. You, apparently, think otherwise.

Did Reagan consider the consequences of arming Iranians against Iraq? I would assume so. Since at the time the Soviets were arming the other side, what would you have done? Perhaps a socially conscious interpretive dance that would have brought peace to the region?

How do you and other liberals make it from day to day being so naïve?

Did Cheney and Bush think about the consequences when they decided to invade Iraq (with no plan for the post-invasion occupation)??
Did the right consider the consequences when they flew back to Washington to have an emergency session on Terry Schiavo ?? :-)
Did Reagan consider the consequences of arming the Iranians?
