I think I was an attorney or something like that. There are times when I can hear the argument(s) in front of some high court or group. I can almost see myself, feel the emotions and struggle. Given the way I champion and defend today, my love for law and distinctions, this resonates fairly well. Though I wanted to pursue a law degree, something stopped me, it felt like I didn't/couldn't fight like that again.

Thanks for the question, I honestly never tied this together before.

This has always been my favorite song of his. Its also the one I sang to my 2 year old stepson all the time, after my wife and I got together. He loved it and you can imagine his little voice adding to the chorus.

I've been following this all weekend as well, and thank you Liss for this great post.

After reading Berry's comments withthe Advocate this morning, I'm even more annoyed.

One of his closing statements was " gay community should not "waste energy and angst" attacking the president over last week's DOJ-DOMA flap, and instead should be working on getting the necessary votes to overturn DOMA in the House and Senate." Though DOMA is last on the list and may not even come of for them until a second term.

Disappointed.

Thanks Mods, I am of course all in.

I am fairly skilled at identifying a troll as soon as one pops in, however I am not as skilled, nor as quick to recognize all the inappropriate language, triggers, etc. Sometimes, it isn't until another commenter points it out, that I even noticed.

I have learned so much in the year I have been part of this community. It is why I keep coming back.

I haven't been around lately, but I promise to be all in when I am here. ;-)

breastylou - my memory is that way, I can remember with amazing detail, textbooks from courses over 20 years ago, but I can barely provide highlights of my trip to New Orleans with my wife 11 years ago.

Spatial stuff I guess that what its called. I don't seem to be able to look at that chair and that doorway and make the determination of whether or not it will fit. This translates to other problems too. When it comes up my wife kindly reminds me I can't do this and to let her. :-)
