That stuff will always be there tomorrow though. It's exhaustive, just like you experienced, trying to keep up. Knowing I could tune-in to the second screen afterwards and still participate/enjoy the commentary was enough. What probably spurred this was DVR'ing the start of the debate b/c I wanted to finish the 30 for 30 on ESPN first in live time. So, I started watching on about a three minute delay. Didn't want the live feeds to spoil what was coming up.

Re: Second Screen, Third Screen, ...

I took a different route. I put the phones and other screens down and listened intently, thought critically. It was a nice change of pace from the first & second times around - trying to follow a lot of quick shot commentary that doesn't have much lasting value.

Re: http://jratlee.com/post/26405754134

lol nice. it's the compliment to this image taken a few years ago at the harbor: http://www.flickr.com/photo...

Re: zachklein (via dpstyles):

Everyone wonders how paying for someone's time can flux so wildly
sometimes. It's never a one-to-one comparison. The execution of craft is
what sets one from another, forever. It's the simple argument behind basic
things like food, complex things like creative work and premises behind
empires (i.e. Apple).

Re: http://jratlee.com/post/5150810207

psshhttt.

Re: Onward, to the Plex.

Best of luck!

Re: http://jratlee.com/post/4641881340

all day long

Re: http://poploser.org/post/4558156289

But, they're now monetizing the majority of the remaining traffic not just with ads (i.e. the Lincoln sponsorship) but the paywall itself. So, while there is a traffic decrease (which was 100% expected) - they're likely (hopefully) making more money on the remaining traffic. This also probably doesn't account for their various apps accessing the content which the paywall also dictates. Who knows, I could be all wrong but lots of times these paywall arguments sensationalize without taking into account economics.

Re: An Important $7.60

Me too. Although, I'm actually worried about the path Tumblr takes now. Similar to the big post Alex Payne just did regarding Twitter and why he left. As much as there might not be more to this story, I have a weird feeling there is. Regardless, whatever Marco does moving forward is going to be great. I just hope I can say the same for Tumblr.

Re: http://jratlee.com/post/578806045

haha maybe? or maybe plastic bags? not sure.

Re: Random updates.

sounds like life is good bud.
