Your bullshit is very well written, insightful and entertaining. We will definitely be reserving a seat for you when our ships return to Earth for a shift change. It would be nice however if it was easier to comment without logging in and all that stuff. Sometimes we think mailing you a comment on a cocktail napkin would be easier. :)

I was never afraid to walk anywhere in NYC when I lived in NJ. Just make sure you blend with the rest of the NYers and you'll be ok. Don't gawk, don't stare up at the buildings, look busy and act like you need to get somewhere fast with a 'don't fuck with me' look on your face. Don't wear that funny dork hat. If you do you'll get mugged. If you have to be somewhere on time take cabs. If you have time to explore take the subway but be careful down there. There's a heat wave up there now so the city is going to be very hot and miserable. How long will you be there?

I got yelled at too when I used it. I kinda like them though as I frequently turn the google chat twitter thingy off because it's so annoying or doesn't always work. On my LJ FL your summary post is no different than any other FL post so it's no big deal. OTH I do everything on my laptop and nothing on my cell except talk.

It's very hard to keep the 'art' separated from the 'business'. The business end of it is marketing. No artist, no business can thrive or grow without good marketing.
I like Kelly's approach but patronage is very old school. Today you need a good marketing plan and the best marketing plans focus on niches. Wegmen has his dogs, Geddes has her kids in costumes. What's your niche?
