I can't even tell you all how proud I am of Mike for doing all this research to save us money each month. That takes a lot of dedication (or insanity) to go through everything and figure out what and where we can be doing better. I know you all already know this... but he is an amazing guy. Lyla and I are lucky girls.

So, I didn't expect more pictures of the room to be posted until I was done with everything, but that's okay. You guys can see a work in progress still. The shelves will not end up looking like that, but it's cool you all get to see the amazing artistic talent that my friends have. Kate, your picture will hang pretty much where it is now, just higher. Josie, yours will be on the next wall. Once hung (hopefully in the next day or two), we'll take more pictures so that you can each fully visualize your art!

My understanding is that they create a community there with the kids involved in the program. Some families have a couple of kids sponsored and a couple more waiting. We went automatically to the section of the website where it lists the kids who have been waiting for a long time (more than 6 months) to be sponsored. That's how we found Dipok. I can't wait to get to know him.... and hopefully this little bit of money will make a difference in his life.

Although Mike could barely tie my shoelaces (due to swollen feet), and the corn maze had me huffing and puffing, it was a great night! What a fun tradition we've started. I think Lyla will like going next year.

I think the challenges are kind of lame, and some of it is predictable... but still it's entertaining. I think watching people pushed to the limit (physically and mentally) for the sake of competition is still intriguing.

For the record, I'm not watching My Own Worst Enemy for a few reasons, which I will now outline... #1 - I'm not a huge Christian Slater fan... something about his voice, his receding hairline, and eyebrows all bug me. #2 - Are they really just starting this show now, even though they were hyping it at every commercial break of the Olympics. #3 - It totally looks uninteresting to me. Sorry CS... Sorry NBC... the 2 hours I commit to you on Monday nights will have to be enough.

I like Pushing Daisies because I think it is unique and very interesting story-telling, but I feel like I am getting bored of it. Kind of makes me sad. As for Olive's throw-up line, it was her delivery that sold it. Best line on TV last night.

FNL was once again great! Tyra and Riggins sitting in his living room while her sister and his brother finished up "wedding plans" was classic! Of course, the Smash storyline is great too. I love that even though they are phasing him out, they are doing it in a meaningful way.
