Each upgrade gives a lot more functionality. Nobody uses Twitter.com, but I hardly use Facebook.com anymore. The other upside, EventBox just gives Facebook status updates. It doesn't bother me when someone has won gems playing poker or any other nonsense time killers.

Re: Facebook Pages for Dummies: Your Business’ One-Stop Media Center

You only need 25 fans to grab your vanity url now.

Re: In Progress: X-Men 150 - Part 2

There is another way to ink in illustrator that is pretty cool too. Draw a stroke with the pen tool using beziers, then convert strokes to outlines. Then use the direct select tool to move points to make certain strokes heavier. It has a very stylized look. I don't use it though. Check out my site http://www.philhelberg.com to see some examples of my work... I'm no comic expert by any means though.

Re: In Progress: X-Men 150 - Part 2

I've actually thought about doing that. I'm usually pretty fast with the pen tool in Illustrator, but for work like this, not as fast as actually drawing with the "pen".
I'm currently working on a piece that is entirely drawn in Illlustrator. Hopefully I'll finish it some time soon.

Re: Interview with Lou Merloni of WEEI/Comcast SportsNet

And wouldn't the SportsHub show be five days a week as opposed to his current 1-2 days a week on the Big Show.

Re: Dead Sox: Sox need to loosen up and have fun ... like the Yankees

I've been saying all along that if the Red Sox wanted a washed up hall of famer, they should have signed Pedro. He currently has one less win than Smoltz, but it would be a lot more exciting to watch Pedro on and off of the field.

Re: I Got a Job!!!

Congratulations. It would be cool, but I wouldn't dare to take on the legal teams at 20th Century Fox or Dunkin' Donuts. So, it remains here in the "unused" pile.

Re: REPORTER'S QUERY: Are the Red Sox part of your budget?

A few years back I was going to as many as 25 games a year. For this upcoming season, I'm only going to one. It's too expensive to go to games on a regular basis.

Re: How to Make Yourself a Brand

I still am very angry with myself for not purchasing my ChrisHebert.com when I could have. I missed it by "that much." (Get Smart Joke).

I will have to look into the http://usernamecheck.com site. I was not aware of it prior to your post. That is what I love about this site, it is a great place for everyone to share information and help others benefit from each others knowledge.

I took a peek at your site too jimmacleod.com and I adore your site. Very unique from other sites. Bright colors and complex, yet perfect placement of your examples of work.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your information with us. Hope to see you around here more often. ;)

Re: How to Make Yourself a Brand

Great points. I'm very glad that I reserved my name/domain name a few years ago. There is an established scottish singer that has my same name. It takes a lot of work for my site and my other pages to rise against the singer's Amazon, Napster and YouTube listings.
I've also used http://usernamecheck.com/ to make sure that I registered my username all over the place.

Re: Tools and Metrics You Need to Measure and Monitor Social Media Success

not really, disqus doesn't have measurable metrics to track. the goal of this post was to target measurable things you can track and benchmark against. for now disqus is a community comment plugin :)

thanks for the comment!

Re: Tools and Metrics You Need to Measure and Monitor Social Media Success

Jacob, great list. Would you consider Disqus as another tool that would make the list?
