I've been happy with EventBox. Each upgrade gives a lot more functionality. Nobody uses Twitter.com, but I hardly use Facebook.com anymore. The other upside, EventBox just gives Facebook status updates. It doesn't bother me when someone has won gems playing poker or any other nonsense time killers.

There is another way to ink in illustrator that is pretty cool too. Draw a stroke with the pen tool using beziers, then convert strokes to outlines. Then use the direct select tool to move points to make certain strokes heavier. It has a very stylized look. I don't use it though. Check out my site http://www.philhelberg.com to see some examples of my work... I'm no comic expert by any means though.

I've actually thought about doing that. I'm usually pretty fast with the pen tool in Illustrator, but for work like this, not as fast as actually drawing with the "pen".
I'm currently working on a piece that is entirely drawn in Illlustrator. Hopefully I'll finish it some time soon.

I've been saying all along that if the Red Sox wanted a washed up hall of famer, they should have signed Pedro. He currently has one less win than Smoltz, but it would be a lot more exciting to watch Pedro on and off of the field.

Nichole, you're right. It would be cool, but I wouldn't dare to take on the legal teams at 20th Century Fox or Dunkin' Donuts. So, it remains here in the "unused" pile.

A few years back I was going to as many as 25 games a year. For this upcoming season, I'm only going to one. It's too expensive to go to games on a regular basis.

Great points. I'm very glad that I reserved my name/domain name a few years ago. There is an established scottish singer that has my same name. It takes a lot of work for my site and my other pages to rise against the singer's Amazon, Napster and YouTube listings.
I've also used http://usernamecheck.com/ to make sure that I registered my username all over the place.

not really, disqus doesn't have measurable metrics to track. the goal of this post was to target measurable things you can track and benchmark against. for now disqus is a community comment plugin :)
