That stone wall is my favorite thing you have done. It looks so realistic....it reminds me of stone wall at my moms' place. I'll take a picture next time for you!

When I saw this on Twitter I was like: wow, I didn't realize people had yards like this in NYC, but then I saw that it was a country house (so jealous btw). You could definitely pull off something great with this space, although I think I'm more of a fan of the shipping container idea.

I used to want one of these tables soooo badly about 6 years ago (when I bought my first "real" furniture, post-university). I'm not sure if it was an actual E1027, or some sort of Canadian knock-off, but either way it was too expensive for me.

haha hey now, us old folks can still appreciate the lesbian subtext! We may have had Melissa Etheridge and KD Lang who were out in the early 90s, but we still had to read between the lines on tv and in music to get our fill ;)

I'm confused! They changed it over 2 years ago, before you were using Tumblr. You can embed almost any video though.

Tumblr and Vimeo have been integrated for about two years now ;) Users can embed videos from other sites, but in order to upload a video you need a Vimeo account. You should just upload to a YouTube account and embed it on Tumblr.

I don't know much about Todd Oldham (we didn't get MTV in Canada back then), but I do have a Todd Oldham designed carpet circa 2004. I'm trying to find a picture of it online to show you, but it's not happening.

I also have an 'inspiration' folder with pages I've torn out of magazines over the years, but my interest in interior design is definitely casual as opposed to professional like yours. I'm really enjoying this blog even though my knowledge is limited in this area!

It's hard to say - I would go with whatever you think she would really enjoy - maybe something she could share with her other two daughters like a gift basket full of treats they might like.
