If nothing else, I'm sure IU has gotten Williams some attention from mid-majors. These schools will see something in him if there was interest from IU.

Well I feel bad for David Williams from an educational standpoint. Iu is a great school for academics, and it seems that other major d-1 programs are not biting. I know he's doing well in school, so I got the impression that this was a means for him to get a great education for free. From that standpoint I feel bad we offered him to raise his hopes.

J....I actually agree with you to a certain extent....I blame Crean on this one and having a quick trigger, we dont know the whole story, we don't know if D. Will was a link to another player....however...I give the IU faithful/ITH faithful credit, we kinda knew this was coming, so it is no surprise.

Now about that scholly......? I wish the kid well, I hope he finds a school that is a good fit for him and has a great senior year.

On a side note for anyone to answer?
With Jelan Kedrick waiting til spring....With Teague waiting til Spring....With Selby waiting til spring....Do you want IU to wait also?

Personally I want IU to sign Sheehey and one of these other guys. I don't want Sheehey to wait, really like the kid...

I know you guys are going to get upset at me for this. But I think all the fault lies on us. I think the poor kid backed out because so many (including myself) were questioning the reasoning. I don't blame williams for accepting the schollie. If I would have been offered a scholarship from a big time program, I would have jumped at the first chance. We could have waited but I think Coach Crean was too quick on the trigger. Unless they are highly recruited players, I feel you can afford to wait a bit so that one you have more time to evaluate a kid and two give yourself some time to see what else develops with other big time athletes. I understand it's the nature of the business but it wasn't like this kid was highly recruited. I hate giving athletes false hopes.

A couple of years ago, I sent an email to the ESPN Ombudsman to respectfully complain about Vitale's coverage of Indiana games. Needless to say, I never heard a peep of a response. Why even have an outlet like that if you have no ability to respond to what has to be an insurmountable amount of correspondence. Give me Musberger and Lavin in Bloomington anyday over Vitale. At least they have some class and restraint in their coverage.

And I'm really getting tired of DickieV. I don't even care if the espn lacky's defend him. The next time he insults Indiana for this junk, I want our university to call him out. One person is not Indiana. The only constant in life is change, and if they want to carry a grudge tough. My University is not a punching bag to ESPN's or dickie V's amusement.

What a baby. I remember when one of my friends worked in a pizza shop. Knight came over, and she and the staff thought it would be cool idea if they placed the pepperoni in the shape of the IU logo. Knight got up and screamed his ass off at their direction for not treating him like any other person.
He's a jerk . I'm shocked that he hasn't received a heart attack for being so angry over so many little things.

This is my issue too. Sheehey looks like a great prospect and someone that would fit in great at IU, but what does he bring to the team that wouldn't be covered by all the wings IU already has on the roster and committed in future classes?

hmmm. The hustle is there. I think he's got enough athleticism to play in the big ten. I'm not sure if his creativity is a by product of good coaching ( each person on that team have good spacing and positioned accordingly). I'm not sure how I would feel.

You see this kid gets it. He understands that even when times are bad we still worship our Indiana squad. This kid also seems passionate and willing to work hard. As a fan thats all I could ask for.

Coach Crean is an ABC man - always be closing, always be closing - which means he may not bring home the hot girl, but her friend is pretty darn hot and Coach is going to take her.

I agree with everything Kelin just said, and I 100% think that Crean will sign one more to the 2010 class.

but you see we have enough girls. The ones we have are freshman who are staying for four years. And when you have 2011 kids who are ranked in the top 50 coming in, we have enough people to develop and lay a foundation. If we don't get the stars fine, but we can afford to wait. Your panicking man, you don't want to panic before you go on a date. We could afford to relax now and go after the hot girl. By the way whats life without going after the hot girl. You gotta at least try before she turns you down.
