So maybe I'll do one photo a month or something like that. What do you think?

Re: TSB-Video: An example of my Adobe Camera Raw workflow

Hey Victor, really nice video. It was good to see the difference those simple edits made in that photo. It started out as a great photo but then when you were done it really popped. I use those similar sliders in Lightroom. I liked seeing someone else's workflow.
Thanks for sharing.

Jim

Re: TSBV: Saturday at Point Vicente Lighthouse

Really nice work Victor. I like how you told a story. Showing the distant shots then showing the detail shots. The shots are really crisp and vivid.

Re: Typical Mac User Podcast » TMUP 151: Managing Personal Finances with our Macs

Great to hear from you Jim, it's been a while . I totally agree the key is having the iDrive to do it.

Re: Typical Mac User Podcast » TMUP 151: Managing Personal Finances with our Macs

Hey there Victor, this was a great show. I have had a demo of ChaChing and iBiz on my machine since the first of the year. Accounting is not something I do very well. But when I do my taxes I always wish I kept better accounting records. I have downloaded Billings to give it a try. The key to all of this is actually sitting down and entering data.

Thanks Victor for always providing great content to the Mac Community. You always do a great job.

Jim Felder

Re: Typical Mac User Podcast » State of the Victor

Victor, take care, follow the doctors orders and especially those of your wife. Your health is much more important that any podcast. Good health to you.

Jim in Apple Valley, Mn

Re: Typical Mac User Podcast » State of the Victor

Victor, just take your time. Your listeners will be right here waiting for your "smiling voice" to give us more Typical Mac User episodes. We look forward to the next episode.
Jim

Re: EXTRA Show: Eye-Fi extended FIT review

I would be great if they would add RAW support. I sent them a question asking when and if this will be an option. It may be slower than shooting tethered using usb but it would be great for still photography anyway. Thanks Victor.

Edit: here's Eye-Fi's response:
Jim,

We appreciate your interest in the Eye-Fi Card. At this time, we are not in a position to disclose future development plans, but I will be happy to forward your suggestion for RAW transfers onto my engineers.

Re: TMUP 112: The SpotLights’ On You

Hey Victor, Great Segment! You taught me things that I had no idea could be done in spotlight. I thought you could just search for things. I didn't know you could specify the criteria you mentioned. Really good stuff.

I wanted to point out something I found out by trial and error. You mentioned using the cmd+enter to open the selected file in the spotlight results. I found out that you can still use the same keystroke to open the folder that the file is inside of. I have many times searched for an Application or a file or folder so that I can drag it to the Dock. Instead of clicking through the finder trying to find it, I just search in Spotlight and when it's highlighted in Spotlight I press cmd+enter and it opens the folder where that file is residing. Then I drag it to the dock. Very Handy.

Take Care.
Jim

Re: TMUP Live 60: Don’t toss your MacMaintenance Cookies

Thanks guys for the show. Not having run any maintenance scripts on my machines, tried Main Menu with good results - the cache cleaning recovered over 3 gigs of space on my desktop and performance is zippier.

Re: TMUP Live 60: Don’t toss your MacMaintenance Cookies

I have tried to use ONYX for Leopard. I keep getting the error where it tells me to enter my password. When I do it tells me it's not valid. I know it's correct. I looked at the forum for the software and it seems I'm not the only one getting this. Any insight on this?
I'm on a PM G5 dual 1.8 running the latest Leopard and the Leopard version of Onyx.

Thanks
