I was in CA and got a flat at 11pm. Next morning I was on the 405 heading to pick someone up at LAX and got another flat.

Tow truck pulled me off the freeway, I was so embarrassed but he said it's pretty standard as fewer cars have a spare. Especially in California with all the sports cars.

Anyway, exactly one time in 30 years of driving. But the lesson I learned is it's not a big deal to not have a spare.

Re: Is This Tesla Model X Really Trying To Chase The Tesla Cybertuck?

This is obviously from the Cybertruck unveiling event when it was doing test rides

Re: How to move Chrome’s address bar to the bottom of the display

This is old now (at least for me) I also had to enable chrome://flags/#enable-chrome-home-modern-layout

Google Chrome	62.0.3202.52 (Official Build) beta (32-bit)
Revision	d6ed027fa2ac4051e8fd20a916a8df4350c22986-refs/branch-heads/3202@{#653}
OS	Android 8.0.0; Pixel 2 XL Build/OPD1.170816.010

Re: The Best Bluetooth Headphone Adapter

I don't know the brand, but when I was visiting my dad a couple of months ago we set up this same thing. I am a long-term PHP dev so deploy on Linux and develop on a Mac. I mainly work on back-end stuff, the primary front-end being an API. I've been wearing a pair of the thin-around-town Luna's (Verrado I think is the model) for over a year. But now I'm researching doing some backpacking possibly some multi week or multi month hikes. I was wondering if I could do it in Luna's and after over a week of googling, yours is the first post I've found that talks about it. And now I'm convinced it's the right way to go.

Also, double bonus, two days ago I ordered a pair of Leadville Pacers for the grip and ground insulation to attempt to run in them this winter, and this post has also encouraged me that that was the right move as well.

So, DOUBLE THANKS!

Re: My Travel Backpacking Gear List: 1 BackPack For 1 Year

btw, has this list changed any now that you've been on the road a bit?

Re: My Travel Backpacking Gear List: 1 BackPack For 1 Year

A guy I know did a more urban trip long term trip, and here is his list: http://andrewhy.de/the-15-t...

Re: Laracasts | Refactoring Fun

Did you figure this out? As an old guy, thinking in entirely new paradigms is more difficult than it once was. That or I'm just slow at picking them up, which is also possible.

Having said that, after spending an entire day reading up Hexagonal Architecture, I get all the concepts and I think it's simply a level or two deeper than what I already do.

So here's the question. Are you aware of a simple example app that shows how this is done? In Laravel would be amazing, but not entirely necessary. I can't seem to find one. But it would be amazingly helpful to have something to put my hands on.

Re:
