A week ago I was excited that finally we had somebody in the GOP that was willing to tell it like it is, and who was not concerned about being politically correct. For months I've been telling my wife that for the last few years there has not been a nickel's worth of difference between the democrats and the republicans, and I felt like a breath of fresh air was blowing through. I am about as conservative as you can get, so I was pleased with the way things were going. But what he did/said was either ludicrously negligent or it was imbecilic. In either case it was clearly not presidential. Mr. Trump is not presidential. In my opinion we need a president who is both combative and wise. Mr. Trump utterly fails in the second respect.

Re: Tennessee Is the Capital of American Jihad

Thanks to James Kitfield for one of the best articulations of the Islamic extremist problem that has been published to date. It is incomprehensible that Barack Obama will not ascribe the terrorism to fundamental Islam. Utterly incomprehensible!

Re: Senate GOP ponders shifting power to Obama

The United States Congress is clearly now a ship of fools!

Re: Senate GOP ponders shifting power to Obama

These people must be brain dead. By restricting military spending to support military objectives only, the government could shift a huge percentage of the defense budget elsewhere, including toward deficit reduction or tax relief.

Re: North Carolina governor pardons 'Wilmington 10'

But it was particularly egregious in the south. I have tried to capture the spirit of the racism among whites, blacks, AND Cherokee, and the struggle to rid ourselves of it in my recent novel Sanctified. It really has been a struggle, and it's far from over.

Re: Voxant Newsroom: Free, Legal Content

Thanks. My company provides systems and hosting for the online editions of community newspapers, and Voxant is now providing the most reasonable access to video news for those online newspapers. Community news publishing is going to continue to publish primarily local news but it is clearly beginning to include a broader news base and in my opinion Voxant's model is ideal for serving these small to medium size newspapers who have 1000 to 10000 hits a day. The only problem that I have with them is that they seem to ignore their support requests.
