In business and in psychology, we call getting trapped into a mindset , where we blindly chase our goals, as "escalating commitment." We continue chasing our initial goal even though the target has moved. It is important to learn when to stay the course, when to become flexible and make changes, and even more importantly - when to cut your losses and move on to a new adventure. All good business plans should have a well-formed exit strategy, as well as Plan B and Plan C. I will be interested in hearing about your new perspective (motives / offensive strategy / Plan B?) as your activities unfold. As always, best wishes!
