Yes, I agree with you, Jasraj. My complaints to Maxis about connectivity issues has never been resolved at all (100% useless). Complaints to TM's StreamyX, although the complaining process is a pain-in-the-neck, usually shows significant improvement after a week or so.

I'm definitely not signing up with any broadband services in the next 2-3 years. All these advertisements about broadband coverage by these irresponsible telecommunication companies are simply misleading.

I have a Celcom 3G modem at work provided by my company for use at client side. Unfortunately the service is pretty much like that of Maxis. Terrible speeds that more akin to narrowband than broadband. Frequent disconnections and poor download speed for small sized files.

IMHO Malaysian broadband users are pretty much screwed either way with Maxis or Celcom. As much as we complain of TM's Streamyx, and it still has much to improve on, it's still the most stable internet provider in the country. Sad but true.

Thanks for all that informative information. However I, being the weird person that I am, feel that in my case I function better at my job without too heavy a breakfast. A cup of Milo/Nescafe and possibly a kuih and I'm satisfied.

Same goes for the afternoon nap. I just can't seem to doze off in 15 minutes time frame. I actually need 15 minutes to get to the dozing off part and another 15 minutes for the actual dozing!

Yeah I know... weird huh!

All very well thought out arguments indeed. However I cannot ignore the various concerns that nuclear power will bring to the table - nuclear waste disposal, the potential environmental impact, contribution to heating up our oceans & the general high risk of such an endeavour.

As I understand it the time frame for building and setting up a nuclear plant in the 20-30 year time frame. I just shudder to imagine the immense cost and expenditure that our economy will have to shoulder before we can even enjoy any of the benefits that are decades away.

In the end, my point on the whole matter is that green energy is ready, available and perpetual! Malaysia should take the initiative to make strides in this new field and maybe even become a pioneering example of clean energy implementation. The advances made in solar panel technology alone has been in the leaps and bounds in the last 5 years. Whose to say that in the next 5 years solar energy will be cost effective enough to allow for mass implementation.

The possibility are endless in green tech. And just imagine the amount of jobs and businesses that can be generated by this industry alone. Green tech can be better for our country and economy in the long run.
