Much easier than having to deal with the .htaccess file. Linking back to this to make sure that others know that there are options.

Re: Blogging made easy with Blogo

"Not yet" is the word from the dev team over there.

Re: Blogging made easy with Blogo

Does the app support custom fields?

Re: 2008/11/28/feedburner-stats-down/

Maybe the sporadic stats have something to do with the migration to Google Accounts?

Re: 2008/11/28/feedburner-stats-down/

Stats seem to be working as usual for my account.

Re: Brightkite Location • Evan Sims

Nice. Just a guess right now, as I haven't been able to actually reproduce the problem myself.

I went ahead and built a debugger function into the plugin; when you get a moment, try downloading the debug version, replacing the existing copy you have installed and using the new function bkDebug() in your template. Pop me the data it data it outputs from there. If you can't load the page after activating, open up the php file and remove line #224, "add_action('wp_head', 'bkWordpressHeaders');". That should let you see the output.

Debug version: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/23890/brightkite_b4.zip

Re: Brightkite Location • Evan Sims

Awesome, thanks! My first guess would be a gzip conflict between two plugins based on what it was spewing out in your first screenshot. Let me do some investigating and get back with you asap.

Re: Brightkite Location • Evan Sims

Currently running WP 2.6.3 and PHP 5 - see screenshot for enabled plugins and versions: http://idisk.mac.com/isdereks/Public/Pictures/S...

Re: Brightkite Location • Evan Sims

Sounds like an incompatibility between the plugin and something else running on your Wordpress installation. Good stuff. Well executed and a more attractive alternative than what is already out there. Just a little note concerning the included stylesheet. You have some leftover code towards the end of the file: r: #444141; }. Looks like it might have been a little bit overlooked with a copy 'n paste.

Re: Completely torn over mobile photos

I'd say keep mobile photos on Flickr. Brightkite has no way to show sets of mobile photos as a "gallery" set right? Meaning you can't simply send a friend to a set of mobile photo that the can browse through.

Re: LED license plate light replacement!

Alright picked these up but they turn off after about 30 seconds. If I'm not squashing overlay generator sites for ripping what I'm sharing (even going so far as to profit off of the redistributions), I'm squashing redundant questions that previous public inquiries may have addressed. I may not have the top award for tasteful, but I do have the spot for minimal.

Re: 2006/06/13/is-lostcherry-better-than-myspace/

Ergh. While the name Lost Cherry is "different", they definitely take the cake for 1) providing a means for users to annoy other users using the "cherry" blast, and 2) they've managed to create an uglier platform from which to network from. The entire service looks like a profile that a high school student might setup. The black background with hardlines (red & white)? No thanks, I would rather waste my days on MySpace or TagWorld versus LC.

You have to wonder if any attemps to create a niche in the social networking market these days carries any value. Although, I won't be trying to lose wait, I'll be trying to gain. No matter what I try - protein shakes, eating binges, weight time, etc - the pounds don't stick.
