This comes on the heels of the Obama Watch launch so maybe he is thinking they are undermining his efforts to get Obama to appear on the network.

Lynx, after reading Romney's speech a little more closely, I can see a lot of what you mean.

When you say "the only one who I see regularly include non-believers in his speeches on religion is Obama," can you give an example, I haven't really seen where he mentions non-believers in this speech or elsewhere.

Obama gave a better speech than Romney (he needed to), but I don't agree that Romney "left no room for unbelievers" any more than Obama did. Romney was expressing a personal belief, held by most people, that liberty is a gift from God. If he were an atheist, he would not believe that obviously, but atheists can speak for themselves. Romney did say he "loves....the commitment to frequent prayer of the Muslims," among other religious traditions, so maybe not that small-minded.

white evangelical ministers that are tied to Bush, McCain and other Republicans (Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, John Hagee, etc.) have said plenty of "anti-American" stuff themselves. Like blaming America's sinfulness for Katrina and 9/11. I guess that means they were "cheering on" the Trade Center's collapse and the flooding in New Orleans

Pretty much the same. I don't know why you expect me to defend everything my race does.

I agree with Marlowecan. As a white male, I am not particularly offended by Rev. Wright's racial understanding of the Bible. But as an American, his anti-American comments are like cheering the World Trade Center collapse.

I agree with StockboySF too (I am a white male if it matters.) When someone uses the N word, there is no doubt they are insulting the entire race. When someone uses the B word, perhaps they hate all women, but more likely they hate that particular woman, and as likely as not, it is being spoken by a woman, without hesitation, even in front of males.

I always thought of this sentiment as a bit of a slander against conservativism.
