This is an interesting perspective. I think if they were paid, I think colleges would be less successful. Why do I say that? There will begin to have an influx of conflicts of interests. On one hand the colleges are pressured to make sure graduates pass with flying colors. They might be inclined to lower the standards or making the exams more passable in order to guarantee good grades for the students.

There should be more textbook recycling activities to help collect used text books for those who could not afford it. I think this is a really meaningful exercise. Unfortunately, there isn't enough grassroots in this arena. Let's hope things will start changing from now.

This is really a big step forward for Microsoft. With Google threatening to launch a new free operating system that can be accessed by netbooks, it's apparent to Microsoft that they need to find alternative arenas that can help generate revenue for the company.

I think Nokia is still leading the pack. When will Motorola catch up?

The good: The Motorola Q9c offers a Windows Mobile 6 upgrade as well as GPS, Bluetooth, and EV-DO support. The smartphone also has a 1.3-megapixel camera; decent call quality; and solid messaging capabilities.

The bad: The extended battery adds an awkward and bulky bump to the back of the smartphone, and the keyboard is a bit stiff. The speakerphone produced some feedback, and performance can sometimes be sluggish.

The bottom line: Some design quirks aside, the Motorola Q9c for Sprint is a worthy upgrade to the original Q, adding GPS and more stable performance, among other things.

Since the conception of secure pages on the internet, there has been the <pause><chimes> "Login Page" </chimes>. When a user authenticates on this "Login Page" they usually get some sort of a Session set for them, and they're forwarded to a new page. When the authentication times out, or the user logs out, they get redirected to the "Login Page" (yea yea some of us might have a logout page).

Now with AJAX running rampant on the web, every callback that's done needs to be authenticated to make sure the user is who they way they are. However, as a user, I've loged in. If I want to... go for lunch and then come back to finish entering my form, I don't want to be put to the main login page and then have to re-endter it.

It is bloody annoying at times. Let's say you're... writing a blog and you take more time than alloted to write it. Now, when you click the "Publish" button, you'll be redirected to a login screen. Now fortunately some newer applications remember what you were trying to do and then start that execution again. However, some just take you back to the initial page... you lose all your work.

IE has been giving me lot's of problems. Nice of you to fix the problems. When will IE move up the ranks and be on par with Firefox? I think they are having it too easy. Despite they leading in terms of market share, its good news that Firefox has gotten more than 50% market share for many countries.
