There are many interesting ideas out there, but unless the resorts can allow them on the hills, people are stuck on sledding hills or backcountry, which is not only more dangerous, but way harder to access.

Developed ski areas are bound by safety regulations set forth by various governing bodies and risk managers. For instance, any kind of snowboard without a standard binding and a metal edge isn't allowed on ski hills. You won't likely find a resort allowing them until the authorities and the legal departments say it's okay. Risk management is huge in the resort industry and new inventions are notoriously hard to get out there.

Cool idea, but it will be a long road. How long was it after snowboards were invented before they were allowed on ski hills?

Re: How To Be The Social Media Champion At Your Office

"Show the administrative assistant how to search for company mentions and print them off for the boss and you’ll find yourself getting recommendations from the most influential person in the C-Suite."

*snicker* Why is that even standard procedure these days? I'm not arguing with you; that is exactly the course of action for most CEOs it would seem... surely with all these social media tools there is an easier way to get them to look in.

Re: I endorse Truffa brand bottled water!

Ah the power of marketing.

Re: ANA Conference: CMOs Have Never Heard of Twitter? - mediabistro.com: AgencySpy

I'm shocked that only 18% of advertisers would consider using Facebook ads. They're so easy to use and to target so specifically and with CPM of, like $0.25, they're a serious no-brainer. I'd love to know how many use Google Ads.

Re: Why Should I Take the Time to Build Relationships with Bloggers Who Don’t Have a Ton of Readers?

Jennifer, you make some very excellent points. Thanks for taking the time to prepare this in such depth! It just goes to show, it truely doesn't take a lot of traffic to get noticed - just the right traffic ;) You've brought up some super ideas, so thank you. I definitely like the idea of treating our customers like rockstars. Thanks again... great ideas.

Re: Don’t Have Enough Time?

It definitely does get more challenging when you're married and have children. I often feel like there isn't enough time to do some of the stuff I'd love to do (i.e. blog more, read more, freelance work, socialize more etc.) but there just isn't time after full time work (which I love, BTW), keeping a house (which really only sees the bare necessities accomplished lol), spending time with my kid and my husband, being part of a band, enjoying various sports and going to church every Sunday... it's a balancing act for sure. Could I fit more in? Maybe. Do I want to try? Something would have to be dropped to make that happen. I don't really think so.
