Decline of Devil's Night arson
By the early 1990s, Detroit saw little decline in Devil's Night fires.[2] After a brutal Devil's Night in 1994, then new mayor Dennis Archer promised city residents arson would not be tolerated. In 1995, Detroit city officials organized and created Angel's Night on and around October 29-31. Each year as many as 50,000 volunteers gather to patrol neighborhoods.[3] Additionally, youth curfews in the city as early as 6 P.M. are instituted on the days before Halloween. Former mayor Kwame Kilpatrick had kept this program up in force since taking office in 2002. In 2007, 147 fires were reported from October 29 to October 31. In 2008, Oct. 30 through early Oct. 31, 65 fires were reported.[4] This large decrease is credited to the Angel's Night campaign.[5]

Sharia Law Billboard Not Appreciated..Really? I kind of like it!

The non-profit group United American Committee has erected a controversial 48 ft. long billboard on Interstate 75 south of Detroit, MI with a statement in opposition to Islamic Sharia Law, a legal system that many believe is a growing threat to the U.S. Constitution.

DETROIT, MI (November 25th, 2008) - The billboard, located just south of Luna Pier Rd. on the south bound side of the Detroit-Toledo Expressway, states “Sharia Law Threatens America”. Sharia Law is a legal system recognized in many Islamic countries such as the former Taliban regime of Afghanistan, and currently Saudi Arabia, and is a legal system which dictates beheadings, stonings, and other punishments for what are listed as crimes under Sharia such as homosexuality and adultery, and according to critics views women as inferior granting them little rights. Days after the billboard went up, emails from angry Muslim residents began coming in to the offices of the United American Committee, the organization behind the billboard. “Muslims are the biggest victims of Sharia Law in the world.” remarked Tom Trento, a spokesperson for the UAC. Trento continued “We hope this message inspires the Muslims of America who came to this country to escape Sharia, to stand up against it.
”

If one goes to the website listed on the board ( http://www. UnitedAmericanCommittee. org ) they will find a video of Wafa Sultan, a Syrian Muslim who escaped from the middle-east and has become an outspoken critic of Sharia Law. “At times, it feels to me, that Sharia is following me to the United States” Sultan says in the video, referring to Islamic charities and organizations in America who have pushed for support for Sharia Law in parts of America. Sultan also points out that in Great Britain and France, Sharia Law is being enforced in various ways in certain communities. Most recently Great Britain has officially sanctioned the establishment of Sharia courts for civil matters among Muslims. “Our constitution is not compatible with Sharia” Sultan states, a view shared by many in America.

Not only do they broadcast, they pay for the maintainence on the sound system and paid for the installation of the system. These are not people that you see on video's from war torn Iraq. These are doctors, lawyers and professional people that have tenacity and know how to manipulate the systems. This is not a group of terror minded people, but a people with stratigic plans and massive funding.
They are seated in local government and on school boards. They have built private schools and live in close knit communities. This is a force weather you believe it or not.

The Church in America has become a place of tolerance. Do not expose anything and do not cause any unrest or make people check up. I am forced to quote Ravenhill here.

Thanks John for publishing this information. Many Christians in the West dont want to talk about demons or even demonic activity. I am taken to Mar 5:9 And Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" He replied, "My name is Legion, for we are many."
This is a very simple question with a very simple answer that we may not be paying enough attention too. Its time that the Body of Christ step and and understand the power that toils against us every moment of every day.

Christians and Tattoo's.... what a combo !
I for instance like them, I have PRAY on the face of my right wrist and LIFE on the face of my left wrist. This is a very definate mark and causes much discussion with non-believers.
What is really interesting to me is that there is a LARGE group of folks that thinks this offensive to God. I know that everyone goes right to Lev. 19:28 and says.... Plain as day... its right there.. Well, so are alot of other laws that don't impact our lives today as Christians.
Let us be clear. Todd's Tattoo's have nothing to do with his relationship with his wife or with his relationship with God.

WOW.... Nice broad brush strokes here...So, my question is two fold.
1. When did the PRAYER movement become the Kansas City Movement
2. How many is "many other" failures.

I think the the proper spelling is THOU...
Who are you speaking of ? "The Kansas City Movement" or " The Todd Bently Movement" ?
Well I cant speak to everyone that is in the "Those in ministry" and "those around them"
But I will tell you this. The leadership in KC has a saying that goes like this.
GO LOW... which means get humble and serve, and if your going low they say:
GO LOWER....
Not much of a greater than thou saying....But maybe you know them personally and you can speak to thier personalities.
As a leader in a small prayer house I can tell you this, the Holy Spirit keeps PRIDE to a minimum. And ..... "this is a trustworthy saying" if we as leaders dont respond to the Holy Spirit our wives set us straight when we need it.

To the person that accused Todd of being an adulterer. Lets set a premise.

I see a person, man or woman with a passion swirling inside of them crying to come out. Like a birthing waiting to happen... The person is not sure what is happening, but knows that there is somthing big going on. That which will be birthed is already sending shock waves into the spirit realm and the shock waves are causeing a fracture. Seems that the fracture is in the spirit realm or "the Heavens" and on the Earth. Also, this shock wave is already having an effect on the natural prior to it being birthed.
I feel that the question and exclamation point represent a sort of shock and awe, a better interpitation would be Great and Terrible.

Sounds like I heard someone say: God would never.... um.... Spit in His own hand..... Ummm... Humm..Put some dirt in it.... Huh... spit again... and again.... to get it to turn to mud....... (ever tried to make mud from dry middle east soil ? takes more than just one spit) then.... Um.... Rub it in someones eyes..... and then tell them to go wash the mud out.....

Does anyone know what "SPIT" means for the Jews? If you spit on someone that means they are lower than a dog... its the lowest of lows....

I asked this question to a Church leader the other day.
If God were to use a man that was 6'2" tall, had a nice head of hair that was cut just right and parted on the side. A nice medium brown suite with a white shirt and a soft tone tie.....
