BTW, try using your phone to browse the ovi store. I was able to access Shozu's ovi store page but I did not try to download. I used opera mini on my n82, and did the following:

- visit m.shozu.com
- click "Get Started Now!"
- click "I want the application for my N82"

Now you should be on Shozu's page on Ovi Store.

Hope you'll be able to download from there.

you have to set a password first before adding your files.

- create a new zip file
- set a password
- then add your files

Hey, nice round up. But Im sure nokia isnt losing it. Regarding devices, they are clever, they reserve the best for last. They will do stuff if they think they already NEED doing that kind of stuff. They will upgrade their line of devices if they think they are threatened. Their top priority for sure is targeting the larger percentage of buyers, and those buyers aint like us who are uber power users.

BTW, I hate the new Ovi Share. I wish nokia will return the old ovi style

Hi Aaron thanks for the reply and the welcome. I did as you did said and the phone now says 3G in the left top corner instead of E but can't browse or make phone calls, i get a message that says "no network coverage" but in GSM it works well, just no 3G. I live in the US and my network provider is T Mobile. They insist they have 3G but perhaps the phone is not compatible with them or they are not giving me the right service. I read in another post that Mike has or had T Mobile too was wonder if he or anyone else was able to use 3G with US t Mobile.

Try changing your network mode. Go to Tools > Settings > Phone > Network. Then select UMTS as the Network Mode. Then try browsing again.

Restore factory settings, as you rightly mentioned, resets your profiles, clock formats, standby settings, etc.

Hard reset on the other hand wipes out your memory, and does a fresh installation of the os. But you will lose the extra apps, themes, tones, etc that came with your phone when you bought it (such as panoman, etc).

OMG too late haha! Already canceled a zip and now i'm having some weird issues, since i canceled that download my phone seems to be missing some 3-5 Mb, can't find the file occupying that space. I guess since i'm new i just played with it too much lol. Thinking about making a return to factory settings thingy. Have a few questions posted them in the HARD RESET blog.

If you are talking about the Asphalt and Fifa (07 i think) that came built in when you bought you're N82, you will really not be able to play them when you install the full n-gage app.

other games (non-ngage) you install will usually be accessed on the Applications Folder

for zipped downloads, don't cancel it. your n82 will be able to read and extract the zipped files.

Something is wrong. I reinstalled N-Gage, already had 2 demos installed but they wont appear in the N-Gage game list so i can't play them. Also downloaded 2 games from the website you posted but they wont appear in the N-Gage game list and i can't find any other way to play them. ANy help or suggestions? Sorry for making so many questions but i'm too new at this lol.

You'll need the n-gage app to access the ngage arena for multiplayer games such as Reset Generation (awesome game), and posting high scores, if you feel like it.

I wonder what the n96 has that makes it sluggish. also the reason why developers find it hard to make their applications compatible with it. is it really the N96's software that should be blamed? or something else inside (hardware)?

Same here. Especially when friends are playing with my phone (browsing pictures, videos, etc..), i don't want the message to be displayed automatically.

A setting / option for that would be neat.

I think it's because the original plan was to brand the N86 as the 'N85 8MP", so the prototype products were with the 'N85' in their exifs.

Hi Nik,

I would recommend updating to v31, it's a more stable firmware and you will get considerable benefits upgrading from v10.

the hard reset (#7370#) will only wipe out clean the phone memory.

this is what i usually do:
1. format the memory card through a card reader (or through usb data storage mode)
2. with my microsd card removed from the phone, i do a hard reset
3. then, i reinsert the formatted memory card and then i install apps
.. woot, an extremely "fresh" phone.

sometimes, instead of formatting the card entirely, i just delete ALLL the folders from the microsd card except music, images, videos, and other folders containing files i need to retain.
