Hi steve,

You said "updating to Belle Over The Air or using Nokia Suite". Do you mean FOTA update will be available? Because i heard i few rumors that Nokia Belle will only be a pc-to-phone update. Which sucks because the usb port of my N8 is broken.

Can you (or anyone else) confirm if FOTA will be available? That will be a very good news for me.

Nice set! I especially liked the first picture (sunset, low light).

What I am really disappointed about the N9's camera is the whitish tint / haze on most of its shots (pics 7, 8, 9).

Thanks buddy! Another feature that I frequently use on the N8 is the tv-out feature. Will you be able to test it and confirm? I will be extra glad to hear if the N9 does support it.

Btw, don't you miss the hdmi out which is absent on the N9, if im not mistaken?

I've been waiting for this. Thanks Mike! It's good to see how the N9 performs when compared to the N8. And the N9 pretty did a very good job keeping up.

The Lumia 800, the N8 camera, the N8 belle, the N9 price: the main factors that hold me back from picking up the N9. But the N9 is really seductive. Especially now that it is finally available here in the philippines! Arghh, i must wait a few months more and see. I have my eye on you, N9.

And the nfc device that comes free with the N9 here, arghhh seduction!

One thing that i think only few people knows is that on file manager, when you half press the camera button, a search bar appears. You should be inside a folder to do this.

the lumia made it hard for me. but if the n9 was readily available here in the philippines, i may be already owning one. ill just 'cross that bridge' (of choosing between 800 & n9) when the n9 gets here :D

I actually didn't had any problems installing 11.04 here on my desktop, aside from unity/compiz failing due to my tweaks and curiosity (which i was able to restore successfully). I have a quad core 4gb ram pc, 512mb nvidia vid card.

I did have issues with 11.04 on my almost-4-year-old laptop. Flickering screen. Sometimes it would boot successfully but those time were as lucky as winning a raffle. (installed 10.04 instead).

I bought a new laptop, an acer 4830tg, installed 11.04 and had a lot of hardware issues: backlight not adjusting, sound not working, and performance is a bit laggy. I tried 11.10 on the new lappy, and still had the backlight issue. Never had the time to try and fix it. I use windows 7 on it for the meantime.

Maybe the issues i had on my laptops is what holding me back on upgrading.

i want to but i am being skeptical as i am afraid of the risk of (possibly) losing my files and settings. I don't have any idea about that kernel thing you are talking about, which now adds up as another reason not to upgrade.

i am a web developer and currently, i have my ubuntu set up to address my needs, i can't imagine myself re-setting it up again (in case i upgrade and fail?).

Do you think it's safe? I can use some advice, I won't blame it to anyone else but myself if i finally decide to upgrade and fail :D

I am particularly interested on battery life and camera. Will you be doing a N8 vs n9 camera?

And also how well social app integration is. Especially facebook. I heard it's just like Nokia Social, which sucks.
