alrite thanks. it still seems slightly odd to me because when a team gets knocked out of a cup in England the spin put on it is that they will be fresher and rested for the league; There are however 3 cup competitions for most of the top teams in England so maybe this has something to do with it.

They have yet another friendly coming up in February against Rangers I believe. They're doing this because they are out of the Coppa Italia, and of course let's not forget the added revenue from doing these stints is likely the primary reason...
