True as far as specs go, but I meant more from a form factor perspective. I think the hardware design of the Pixi is actually very elegant and works much better than the awkward slide-out of the Pre. The non-recessed keyboard is much easier to use. I realize this is subjective, but the Pixi filled the lack of a design that isn't really available anywhere else (apart for the Droid Pro which is exclusive to Verizon), which is a touchscreen full qwerty keyboard with no slide/hinge mechanism. Pre + Pixi seemed like a more complete hardware offering than Pre + Mini Pre.

Would have loved to see a beefed up Pixi over this, not sure why they dropped that form factor entirely? Was a lot more unique and provided a form factor that nobody else offers (until the Blackberry Bold Touchscreen comes out, anyway).

I had a chance to hear this and play with it last week, it's great! Even though I kind of had an idea of what to expect, the blending was still very surprising to hear first hand. Lots of control and "sparkly" is definitely the right way to describe the tone! I still prefer the more sustained sound of my Les Paul, but you definitely get a lot more options and variations in tone with the Strat.

No, I never figured it out. I just found a few posts from other users about it. It seems like there is some kind of hardware failure that happens to them. The batteries on mine were still quite new (maybe just a month) and all of a sudden the mouse died. So I got new batteries, but the mouse now doesn't connect. It just powers up for a bit, has the red light, and then shuts off after a little bit.

Actually the old Kindle had 3G connectivity as well. But the design improved a lot! Supposed to have faster performance (page turning, loading, etc), the screen can now display more shades of black (images look better), and they added text to speech so it can read your books to you...

Good point. However, the user doesn't necessarily need to keep their eye on the button as the error notifications appear inline with the fields that are highlighted red (this makes the status very clear).

Also, in the case of a longer form, the browser window scrolls (smooth transition, not a harsh jump) to the first problematic field. In the case of such longer forms, they are generally followed by a Success page if there were no errors. In the case of this login popup, the button changes to green (instead of red) and displays the text "Success" followed by the popup fading out.

Current testing of this method in all the previous projects we've done has been quite successful. I'll post a live link to a new application later in the week where you can check it out in action yourself. :)

Why not keep the images small by default, but on click scale them (inline) to large version? It's easier to read the dashboard when the images are small, but I also understand wanting to see the images in higher res. This would satisfy both sides of the issue.

The design is nice and clean, thanks for giving us a preview.
