Without enforcement, a law will do nothing. I see people on their cell phones EVERY time I drive in Albuquerque. What will the new law do that is already not being done? Unenforced laws are political maneuvers to make politicians look good in the media.

While it sounds great, I think this is more likely a marketing gimmick to have the reverse effect of Whole Foods CEO. Instead of a boycott, Comcast is trying to get more customers - plain and simple.

Okay, I'll try to post this inline this time.

Thank you so very little for disparaging the act of criticizing the quality of public discourse. I have an idea -- why don't we replace our right to petition for redress of grievances with an obligation to "don't worry, be happy."

And I have another idea, Complainer Gshurley. Instead of categorically complaining dismissively about well-informed criticisms of a media in crisis that in turn is doing an ineffectual job of telling citizens about a government and an economy in crisis, why don't you respond to the substance of the criticisms? Are you suggesting media services, this one in particular, should NOT post notices of public meetings, should NOT post announcements of public comment opportunities and should NOT use spreadsheets and databases to analyze government activities?

But guess what? I am self-entitled to avail myself of every opportunity to help my fellow beings in this universe. Deal with it.

In response to the complainer(s) - I have been a web developer since the mid-90s and did think it odd that I had to click the back button, but also decided that I would not be lazy and ignore the other questions.

To the complainer(s): you are not self-entititled to have everything tailored to make your life easier. Deal with it, stop complaining, and find happiness in the universe instead of fault in others.

NMI is doing a GREAT job - room for improvement, sure, but don't we all have room for improvement?

Well, they don't believe in evolution, which is science. Healthcare is also based on scientific research, so it makes sense that people in Kansas have no interest in healthcare - but they still use cell phones, TVs, and DVD players, don't they? Very convenient...

I'm about to be one of those statistics. After getting a graduate degree last December, it is time to move on. If I were looking for a job, the pay level around Albq is just too low. The crime rate in Albuquerque is another thing getting me to leave. It is way too high, compared to national averages. The current Mayor, City Council, and police department should be embarrassed at the crime in this city.

That just highlights that state of our education system. Without quality education, people will continue to believe in supernatural beings, UFOs, witches, magic, etc.... very sad.

However, UFOs are merely unidentified flying objects. In a literal sense, I believe there are objects in the sky that an observer might not be able to identify.

If a candidate has to tell people that he is honest, then I immediately suspect that candidate is just the opposite....kind of like "Honest Jim's Car Sales." The psychological reaction is to question the honesty of the person claiming to be honest.

After hearing Mr. Berry on KUNM last week, I was immediately convinced that he is not good for our city's future. If he wants to run the city like a business, then I assume he wants to treat people like they are worthless and will do anything to increase revenue (aka profit) for himself and his family. No thanks Mr. Berry - go away. Albuquerque can do far better!
